@SOCOMDEATHDEALRWell, what about DICE services. They will not be able to be turned on for years because sooner or later they will also be turned off in order to raise them online to a new battlefield and suffer the same story as with the old Battlefield. We need bots to be offline as well. Since we have been asking for this since 2010.Idk dude, you've indicated that for 11 years you have been a BF player waiting for offline bots. Not sure why, in 2021, you're going to end ur BF rollin streak, over not being able to roll offline.
Just a side note. In all of my years rollin various games and being on countless fourms.....I've personally never seen a company take the ( MANY MANY .......MANY ) 'if u don't do this or that, I won't buy ur game anymore' to heart....and rush the team back to the drawing board. Let's just be realistic.
Like I said, I definitely hope it's an option, but if not, I'm still pumped about rollin it. 🍺😎🍺
- Trokey665 years agoSeasoned Ace@SOCOMDEATHDEALR When thread titles end with "..... or I won't buy it", I always chuckle to myself and wonder in what world the OP genuinely expects the Devs to rush to change their game for him.
As some one once said, if you don't like it, don't buy it.
Offline bots don't interest me, if they are there wo Hoo, it not so what.

I guess some ppl just need hugs or somethin 🍺
- @Trokey66 Actually, I didn't create the header "No Offline Bots No Buy" I wanted to create the header like "Offline Bots No-Forced-Internet-Connection" But the script worked and created such an inscription in the subject. I wanted to refer to "Forced-Internet-Connection"
- @SOCOMDEATHDEALR I'm not John, I'm Mortimer. In fact, offline bots were the dream of many seeing this on the Frostbite engine.

I'm starting to think that a offline mode would be wonderful. I used to be in the boat of having zero internet. I was limited to the games i could play during that time period. Especially how now days almost every game needs to be connected to the internet. Which sucks for certain people that want to play this game, or any other game for that matter, and don't have internet at all or slower internet where online play is practically difficult.
Offline would be a huge positive for the game. But, if it doesn't have it. oh well, no real big loss there. - @TheeOriginalFox Yes my friend.
- lzilchetl5 years agoSeasoned Ace@TheeOriginalFox I don't think people realise how much processing would be required to run the game with bots locally.. As great as it would be, there is no way the average player would have kit that would support that kind of processing.

Never said u were "John", Mort..

@lzilchetlYes, as also a hardcore Grand Strategy RTS player. i can understand. But, a counter to that would be a limit to the bots or a slider to for people to choose the amount of bots can be in the game with you as you play offline. Granted you could just play team deathmatch or the lower player count game modes that will most likely show up. There will be more game modes then just Conquest and Rush.
- lzilchetl5 years agoSeasoned Ace@TheeOriginalFox Ok, that would work I guess. I'm a bit confused though. I've been playing for 15 years and never and never ever, until now, even thought about playing offline. You wouldn't buy the game if you didn't have a connection would you?
- TheeOriginalFox5 years agoNew Traveler@lzilchetl If I wanted to play the game and had no internet connection. And IF there was a offline mode. Then yes. I actually would. Because I would have another game to play and enjoy. But, I'm not saying it will come true because I may of brought up a good point. And granted lt will most likely not happen to begin with.
- lzilchetl5 years agoSeasoned Ace@TheeOriginalFox I get that, but from Dice's pov that's a small market. Do you think they would get a return for that extra development? I don't know?
- ChrisAWJBethel5 years agoSeasoned Ace@TheeOriginalFox No, that's a great loss. Every multiplayer game which doesn't support offline bots is a game that will never be able to be played again after the servers get shut down or the playerbase moves on to a new game. You shouldn't treat your games like they're condoms; games are supposed to last forever. ESPECIALLY multiplayer games.
- ChrisAWJBethel5 years agoSeasoned Ace@lzilchetl Not with that attitude. They work in Battlefront II, they can work here in 2042.
- ChrisAWJBethel5 years agoSeasoned Ace@TheeOriginalFox Exactly. That's what they did for Battlefront II. And they could allow players to disable progression while playing offline.

@ChrisAWJBethelComparing whether a video game can be played offline with bots to songs with racist lyrics?
Oh dear.....
Not sure how I'm an 'arrogant *' for pointing out that it is highly unlikely that DICE will change their game before even the Alpha has been completed because some one has thrown their teddies out their cot on the forums.
If it is not possible to play against bots offline, OP has 2 choices.....
Buy it or don't buy it.Online video games will last for as long as it is economically viable for the the company not a minute longer.
- ChrisAWJBethel5 years agoSeasoned Ace@Trokey66 OK, that was a bad example, but my point that 'Don't like, don't read/watch/buy' is a sign of arrogance still stands. Every multiplayer ought to have some form of offline play to keep the game alive so people can keep playing it. Day after day I see comments all over the Internet about how people wish to return to the old days of Battlefield where they could play against the offline bots. Battlefield has had this problem for FIFTEEN years. It's time for a change of pace, and 'don't like, don't buy' isn't gonna help anyone.
- Trokey665 years agoSeasoned Ace
@ChrisAWJBethelbut do developers feel that the demand for such a feature is worth the expense and effort required to implement it?
Just because you and a few others think it should be the case and damn anyone else is almost text book arrogance.
In a game that is marketed as an online multiplayer, I would suggest that the vast majority of players will be at best ambivilant to such a mode. Indeed, no small number would be against such as they will no doubt feel it took valuable recourses away from the main aspect of multiplayer.
Me? I ambivilant but if I didn't like the majority of the package, I wouldn't buy it.
OP and you have the same choice. - @ChrisAWJBethel I agree, every game must have an offline mode. Since without it, it is no longer considered a purchase of a game, but a rent.
- @Trokey66 Every game must have an offline mode with bots. Because when you buy a game you must be guaranteed that you can play it for a long time at least with bots. Without offline mode, you can only rent the game.
- @Trokey66 I'm wondering what is stopping you with offline mode? What are your complaints about this? If you want to play online then play. But everyone needs not only an online mode, but also an offline one. Since not many have a good Internet connection or in different cases.
- @lzilchetl Due to the autonomous mode, they will receive a large profit. Since this game will be bought in large quantities for the sake of offline bots. I've talked to a lot of people, and they are ready to buy the game for the sake of offline bots.
- ChrisAWJBethel5 years agoSeasoned Ace@Trokey66 If they don't then we all know why games keep getting sequels every one to three years instead of making a quality game that will last forever.
- Trokey665 years agoSeasoned Ace@AristarhUcolov2 With or without offline bots, you don't own the game. You have only bought a license to use the software that can be changed/revoked at anytime.
