As some one once said, if you don't like it, don't buy it.
Offline bots don't interest me, if they are there wo Hoo, it not so what.
@ChrisAWJBethelComparing whether a video game can be played offline with bots to songs with racist lyrics?
Oh dear.....
Not sure how I'm an 'arrogant *' for pointing out that it is highly unlikely that DICE will change their game before even the Alpha has been completed because some one has thrown their teddies out their cot on the forums.
If it is not possible to play against bots offline, OP has 2 choices.....
Buy it or don't buy it.
Online video games will last for as long as it is economically viable for the the company not a minute longer.
- ChrisAWJBethel5 years agoSeasoned Ace@Trokey66 OK, that was a bad example, but my point that 'Don't like, don't read/watch/buy' is a sign of arrogance still stands. Every multiplayer ought to have some form of offline play to keep the game alive so people can keep playing it. Day after day I see comments all over the Internet about how people wish to return to the old days of Battlefield where they could play against the offline bots. Battlefield has had this problem for FIFTEEN years. It's time for a change of pace, and 'don't like, don't buy' isn't gonna help anyone.

@ChrisAWJBethelbut do developers feel that the demand for such a feature is worth the expense and effort required to implement it?
Just because you and a few others think it should be the case and damn anyone else is almost text book arrogance.
In a game that is marketed as an online multiplayer, I would suggest that the vast majority of players will be at best ambivilant to such a mode. Indeed, no small number would be against such as they will no doubt feel it took valuable recourses away from the main aspect of multiplayer.
Me? I ambivilant but if I didn't like the majority of the package, I wouldn't buy it.
OP and you have the same choice.- 5 years ago@Trokey66 Every game must have an offline mode with bots. Because when you buy a game you must be guaranteed that you can play it for a long time at least with bots. Without offline mode, you can only rent the game.
- 5 years ago@ChrisAWJBethel I agree, every game must have an offline mode. Since without it, it is no longer considered a purchase of a game, but a rent.
- TankerFlanker5 years agoSeasoned Ace@Trokey66 They seem like a talker, someone who doesn't know when to stop talking (or spamming). Along with awful comparisons that make no sense.
And it's like you say they can buy it or not buy it, seeing as for now there is no option to turn bots off and 2042 will probably be online only as well we'll find out during EA Play.
