That's half the amount V ended up with which was also live service.
We absolutely need more base maps than 11 to last us until at least the end of 2024.
And its only 1/3 of the total maps we had in previous BF games like BF1 and BF4 !
Very illustrative of the substantial length EA/DICE have gone to run this as absolutely cheap bare bones as possible.
BF1 and BF4 charged you for those extra maps so you cannot compare paid to free.
However V added 14 maps for free yet people still complain it wasn't enough.
But 4 extra maps for 2042 is nowhere near enough and I hope that is addressed post season 4.
I'm hoping Dice are planning another release in the same vein as Vs Pacific Theatre
I bought the BF4 Premium, so yes I paid for those extra maps, weapons, gadgets, vehicles etc.
Do I think I got value for money? Yes absolutely!
Just as I also bought the BF2042 Ultimate, so yes I also paid for that. And I can then absolute compare the two as much as I want. And here, BF2042 is totally under delivering in all aspects!
BF2042 is a total meltdown even from before launch day, the $ charge at launch is now questionable at best certainly now considering when no follow-up by EA/DICE to make it good after the fact. And a disgrace for the franchise that its deliberately left in such dire and incomplete state, essentially abandoned. This despite millions of customers/players prepaid for the 4 seasonal packages still to be delivered.
That "new content" will come after Season 4, in a Year 2 pass is either a bad practical joke or an expression of to what extend then some believe they can go with scamming customers no matter. Kindly suggest BF2042 Year1 is brought into respectable and more complete state before fantasizing about a year 2 please...
