If we keep this at the top on here they'd have to do something eventually. Also if it's still like it on Friday I'm sure there will be a lot more traffic here as well.

@waddon 100%, we need to keep it active on here and the closer it gets to Friday, surely that would cause concern, hopefully it does anyway.

Make sure everyone, to share this thread wherever you think it'll get attention because obviously it's clear right now they're not going to reply here unless it gets a lot more attention.

The second point specifically is the issue. You gain NO PROGRESS (Not reduced, NONE!) for weapons and vehicles on Co-Op. Not to mention, this is not what a general player would consider XP, it's more of a task (Get X kills to unlock Y - Not really XP)

XP works fine, we get it at a reduced capacity in Co-Op, no one is worried that much about this. Weapon/Vehicle progress not working effectively forces people to play the AoW MP for said gear, which is annoying due to how laggy said MP servers are.

This is massively game breaking for those who play co-op as they effectively cannot unlock anything and can only level up.

that was last week, temporary means jack. How long? Days, weeks, months? Also it's not reduced in terms of unlocks, it's non-existant.  Enable the bloody progression again its what we paid for. At least take the time to read the post before you copy and paste a response

@EA_AticAgain as others have said, we are talking about ribbon, weapon, vehicle progression, and mastery assignments, not XP...

Can we possibly have more explanation on our topic, and not just a rehash of a tweet that most people here are aware of? We need some communication...

@EA_AticEven thou quite a couple of people already replied to your... answer about this issue, i think this deserves another answer since there is a 20 page topic with quite the number of people stating the same issue which is not answered by your statement. Not even close to it.

Lol I got a bit excited when I saw EA had answered, then realised it was a copy paste non answer.

They SURELY have to let us know properly what's going on before Friday so all the people joining from the official release know what's going on. Surely?

I have been checking this thread hourly since Friday to see if any updates so thought it would be best to join the ‘fight’ and add to everyone flagging this. 

Disappointed to say the least we finally hear back from someone at EA and the issue doesn’t even get addressed. Fully expect issues with games on release especially with early access. But this is a major fault/bug/decision that needs to be addressed. 

In my opinion it has taken away a core element of the game away from a large portion of players who prefer a more relaxed way of playing. It has been so hard to enjoy the game since Saturday morning when the change kicked in, PvP AOW/Breakthrough is enjoyable to an extent but can only take so much of die, spawn rinse and repeat with 2-3 kills per game (45 minute average game time) 

please please please address this issue and restore progression for Single player/Co-Op. 

Thankfully this is the the only issue I’ve had since launch so have been lucky compared to others, and from what I have played unhindered (8 hours) I have seriously enjoyed it! Don’t want my love for the game to evaporate before the issue gets fixed!

It needs to happen. It may not seem like it, but there are a decent amount of players who enjoy offline/bot play, myself included. If this issue persists into launch day, that's not gonna be good lol. Especially for the Portal fans...

@TDawg262 I think it's funny we've had all this time with no reply, then we start talking about refunds... not long after a reply however it's one of the worst ones they could of picked to give us. Just makes them look worse in this situation.

@TDawg262 There's a lot of people wanting this game purely for the portal experience. I personally think it was a great idea as you actually get to make your own games and if you don't want to do that, then you can just join any game from the server list. All they need to do to fix the exploitation is just don't give the people the ability to lower the health of players/AI, should only be able to raise it.

So what is the point of playing a game without progression what am i suppose to do when there is no chance to play multiplayer mode i click that aow multiplayer mode for more than 30 times but each time after about 5 minutes of loading it returns to main menu , portal is half full of bots the only way to play all out warfare is solo so how can i progress in this game besides of all criticisms , UI problems , connection issues , very high ttk this one was the most unfair decision of you i myself didn't even notice of xp farm before you relaunch servers i shouldn't blame for that. it is so hard to gain trust of people for second time we gave you a second chance after that joke BF5 and pre order bf2042 ultimate edition to support you and you answer the trust of people like this lets be honest ultimate and gold edition are the same at the end just because of the love and fan of this franchise and being hyped for new battlefield i pre ordered the only good bf games were bf4 and bf1 may be it was better to say goodbye to battlefield games after bf1. i don't refund this game but i am so sorry for myself and i never ever trust you anymore.

i might be wrong but i think by xp ‘rewards’ they are referring to unlocks via xp because we can only unlock attachments prior to mastery tier, it might just be poor wording 

This problem has not even been included in the list of bugs... Will they act as if the problem doesn't exist?

These changes are temporary measures which will remain in place to restrict the creation of XP Farming servers in #BattlefieldPortal  

We are performing a restart of all Portal servers to apply these changes XP remains active on Classic Portal Experiences and VIP Fiesta.

 

We communicated this on Friday here and can recommend to keep and eye on updates there.
