@SCUBASTEVE120 Nothing really. All BF games have gone downhill since BF2/2142. Not saying they haven't been fun but they just can't compare to BF2/2142.

- @NazT55 I started with bad company 2 and I honestly couldn't see how past games were better but the community swears by bf2 😌. I thought BF3 was the perfect game with the best multiplayer, a coop and decent campaign to go with it. Plus it had 5 AMAZING DLCs what a ride. Then I felt the decline, even tho I loved BF4, BF1, and BF5.
@SCUBASTEVE120I was so excited for BF3 when it was first announced but when it came out I was very disappointed as it was supposed to be a direct sequel to BF2 and BF2 fans waited years for it to come out. A lot of others were too. From no commander mode to the movement/vault system to the specializations being added. Also not having an in game server browser but had to rely on battlelog. From the ranks to the dumb-down badges and ribbons and such.
- @NazT55 Totally agree. This version is a POS and they just cant stop making it worse, if that is possible at this point. After they removed the 128 player maps yesterday, and that fact that I am now mysteriously getting my *** handed to me by "new" players between level 1-30, I am done. I will play each Tuesday until that incentive is gone then I am uninstalling it. There is zero enjoyment or sense of accomplishment now.
The Plus system is probably what I'd choose.

Not saying they haven't been fun but they just can't compare to BF2/2142.Yep, peak Battlefield right there, as you said, it's not that I didn't have fun with other BF titles after that but the BF1942 thru BF2/BF2142 era was truly awesome.
The community mods of that time were a large part of what made them special as well, Deset Combat, Forgotten Hope 1 and 2 etc. etc. ahh yes as I said PEAK Battlefield!
Hopefully one day Battlefield can return to that kind of glory.
Visibility of enemy players.
I think they found a good balance between letting enemies blend into the terrain and having enemies be visible.
- @Ironhead841 Wow an era were mods were peak and made the game better, rather than mods that just help one bad selfish player and ruin the game for everyone else (I'm looking at you 1 shot modders from bf3).
I’m happy that Battlefield 2042 is not Call of Duty. This alone is most important.
- @xraythree ☺️ this is true that is one plus. Cod is very boring and repetitive imo.
