Re: Really Poor Performance Issues - Top Spec PC (over £8k setup) - ~20fps

Windows 10 Pro 21H1 19043.1348 (Latest)

CPU: AMD 5900X Stock

RAM: Team Group 32GB DDR4 3800MHz CL14-14-14-31 Samsung B-Dies

Mobo: Gigabyte X570 Aorus Master S Rev 1.2

GPU: Gigabyte RTX3090 Gaming OC Rev 1.1

Monitor: Samsung Odyssey G7 32" 1000R 240Hz 1440p

SSD: Corsair MP400 4tb m.3 gen3

Playing on Ultra with 90 FoV, camera shake to minimum and same for motion blur.

Getting around 100-170 fps and worryingly in menus it can go to 350fps which is messed up since it's meant to be capped at 240fps.

Yea i know too much fps is an issue for me. With V/G-Sync on it shouldn't do it but it does and makes my 3090 use 420w but normal 128 player game uses a lot less.

Using DLSS but not Ray Tracing.

Also using the new nVidia Driver released today 496.76-desktop-win10-win11-64bit-international-dch-whql. Saw a slight increase in fps but minimal at best.

I can play it using 10bit HDR but i prefer using 8bit instead.

I know mine is 1440p but somethings not right with that system only putting out 20fps. This is my system which cost £5000 UK.

  • @Reddoguk Same results regardless of resolution, standard, UHD, UWUHD. Lowering settings doesn't seem to resolve the performance issue. Changing visual settings from ULTRA to HIGH results in a performance gain of around 2FPS. Dropping from ULTRA to LOW results in around 4FPS improvement. All still averaging around 20 to 30 FPS with occasional studdering, freezing, mouse input lag issues, etc. Changing my CPU Core Cache Ratio from 20x to 40x has helped a little by increasing my average frame rate to 30 to 40 FPS, however, that is still unplayable because of frequent screen freezing, graphical anomalies, latency, lag. I've run out of options. Can't think of anything else to test. Guess I have to wait for an update and hope that the update resolves my issues.

What helped me a ton was deleting PROFSAVE files in documents and restarting the game.

I think it was conflicting with the beta build files that was still there
