Sliding is a great addition to movement making you harder to hit at times rather than being an static standing silhouette, I can see snipers disliking this feature.. In BFV sliding comes with a great price to hence makes enemy hear you a lot better so spamming it will only get you killed
I actually think they should try to deploy more movement variations where applicable, I never had an issue with slides, in fact I like it
@BangExperienceSliding makes the hitbox wonky and people will be quick to abuse it. I'm not against sliding but you should have a movement restriction immediately after sliding like slowing down at the end of a slide and you will have to recover from that to be able to slide again. This would mean sliding would be more effective at quickly getting into cover and not be abused as much in the middle of a gunfight without any drawbacks
Also slide spam just looks silly and kills the feels of the game but it isn't a proper argument from me. Just putting it out there. Also I barely snipe so I am not being biased when I say this.
Sliding mostly useful around corners surprising your enemy or right before or under melee attacks, same as I use Jump/Lean/Crouch in combination with paddles, all these very powerful features once mastering during firefights.. people hate when I lean or lean-crouching, I even get reported sometimes as cheater for utilizing simple custom mappings, people want me to stand still in an upright position while aiming which I have no intentions of
Leaning/Crouching/Jumping certainly looks silly to but I really encourage everyone to use, it's really the only options you have making you a more difficult target, the roll you can do from high jumps is a nice touch to, I'd really like to see more stuff towards movement gaining advantage but probably only so much they can do 🙂
i agree with most u said and slide could be implemented but at a cost, i mean sliding every 2 secs is stupid af, the slide should be used as a brake to stop behind cover or to slide around a corner untill u stop on your back none of this repeatable * that looks stupid, look at warzone u like the way they all move like theyr ninjas? i play bf since bf2 and this is *
Everyone knows what sliding every two seconds does. It just looks stupid in a Battlefield game. Even from the kill-cam when you're dead you can see people sliding back and forth non-stop. Is this a Battlefield game or Disney on Ice? It doesn't fit like it does in other games to be sliding everywhere. There's this thing called friction which why ya don't see soldiers sliding in and out of cover in even the worst Hollywood movies. Yeah it's not a military sim but it's not a cartoon either.

@rainkloudI've been playing BF since BF1942. This unlimited sliding is a new epidemic and doesn't BELONG in EVERY game nor does it fall under what describes a "sanbox" game. Give us jetpacks then, let us wall-run. Hey, I have an idea, how about we collect resources on the map and build * structures with them while we fight?!? lol
Even counterstrike limited bunny hopping back in the day because they knew it didn't fit in that game. Look at CoD, people bunny hopping and sliding all day long. Now YOU want that in Battlefield and I'm all of a sudden privileged. hah
I even said BF is not a sim to avoid such crazy banter. Move along. : D
