@-DFA-Thump Tom henderson is a troll .. and a " leaker " seeking attention .. Its totally impossible that 2042 would have such low numbers ... 50 k concurents maybe 50k individuals users impossible the average players plays for less than 2 hours session per day so if steam cocurent is between 6 and 8k most of the time in 24h cycle this is 6k × 24 ÷ 2 + origin + xbox + playstation So just on steam its between 60 to 72k individuals players that make up its concurent base .. concurent mean players playing at the same time .. there is thousands of players in rotation also 3.2 us broken and create massive crashes but an realistic estimate based on steam concurent players is 70k + epic + origin + xbox + ps wich is at lease 70k ish individuals for all playform at worst .. into the 400 000 players but its more likely mire than this world wide

    @X-Sunslayer-X Yet its the most realistic estimate we can do without hard data from DICE themselves . the average players play about 1 to 2 hours a day a best and for many not everyday . So individual players and concurent players is like day and nights .. every minute there is players who log off replaced by players login in ... This game on PC is on origin ea desktop , Steam and Epic games store .. On consoles xbone , xboxSeries , ps4 and ps5 so if each platform at worst have similar numbers to syeam .. individuals players with an average of 2 hours a day can be estimated but not with 100% certainty but its 100% sure there is way more than 50k individuals players playing the game

    @Stew360 it is not the most realistic estimate whatsofuckingever.
    you puss numbers out your behind and claim " this is much more like it"
    all we know is that on steam we have about 90% of players no longer playing regularly.
    what would Tom henderson gain by "leaking" wrong numbers? all that would do is weakin his reputation, a reputation btw he build by predicting/leaking correct information time and time again.
    we will hear more from EA next week in their investor call.
    but please keep your lousy numbers juggeling to yourself.

    @Stew360I think you are right there. Battlefield 2042 has around 5000 players right now on steam. So if we say, that an hour has 60 minutes, there are 300.000 players each hour. So on each day (24 hours) there are 7.200.000 players on steam alone. So we take that number times 5 (because of steam, origin, epic, XBOX and PS) and we get 36.000.000 players each day on this great game.

    I guess all the problems are based on this huge amount of players. Probably too many players to handle for any server in this world. Don't even get me started how many players there are, if we say an hour has 3600 seconds. Would you agree with my conclusion?

    @TickTack121  You think the playercount is exponential :D By that logic the whole world is playing Microsoft Solitaire every day 🙂

    The game most likely is gone by mid February and if EA wants to cut some of the losses they will likely close a lot of servers down making it really fun to find a place to play.

    The playerbase is almost as low as BF1 is by now worldwide and that should tell DICE DEVS something about not messing too much with the BF-franchise.

    I have made an average between the last two days wich have a drop of players due to 3.2 patch being broken and causing constant crashing but still there is about 5k players conected at any time in the last 2 days and there is a 9k for 30 days average so i decided to go with 6k to aproximate

    6k Players conected each hours for a 24 hours period .. thats concurents players wich mean players conected at the same time ..
    the two main one Origin/Eadesktop and Steam then Epicgame store , XboxSeries and Ps5 excluding ps4 and Xbone ...

    6k x 24 hours = 144000 for steam now you need to divide this numbers by the average time played by the concurent players wich mean from 1 to 3 hours for most so about 2 hours
    144000 /2 = 72 000 so there is around 72k individuals players who fireup BF2042 and play on steam trough a 24h leght of time aproximately can be little less little more its an aproximation .,.. and since we cant know for sure we have to assume all platform follow similar tendancy since we have no data on them ..

    So you do 72k x the numbers of platforms 1 steam , 2 origin , 3 epicgames store , 4 Xbone series , 5 Playstation 5

    so 72 000 x 5 = Rough estimate of individuals players playing BF trough a 24 h But some players will not play some days of the weeks and others will and vice versa so individuals players should be higher in reality

    72k x 5 = 360 000 ish

    Wich is far away from a 50 000 total players wich would be ridiculous to even assume that ... 50 000 concurent players wich mean players playing at the same time everyhours of a 24h cycle plausible ..

    but 50k individuals account playing would be a ridiculous statement

    @Stew360 So with your imaginary numbers you are basicaly saying that people can only stand this game for an hour at a time before they log off?

    That is not a good thing, I play a game for at least 2-3 hours at a time, if it´s a good game that is.

    I say normal peoples who dont work from home and work 8 to 4 or 9 to 5 dont have the time to game for 8 hours straight . Peoples with kids and wifes etc.. wich is the vast majority of the playerbase .. They get home at 17h or 18h then have to eat , then do homework with kids take care of them etc.. then Game a little then have to go to sleep because they have to wake up the next morning .. unless they are in vacantion wich is not the majority ...

    SO yeah But if you want statistic here you have it ... the new norme is about 16 hours of gaming per week .. and that dosnt mean the whole 16 hours will be devoted to BF2042 only lol so yep

    So indeed the average gamer play from 1 to 2 hours per day and sometime a bit more in the weekends and holiday but on this game time there could be others games involved or singleplayers games as well

    So its more than fair to assume the vast majority average on Steam who play BF play about 1 to 2 hours a day on average  at best and some days are skipped by some ... So my estimate are very conservative ..


    Your personal experience is irrevelant some peoples will say they play 8 hours at a time .. The average is base on statistics and big picture of the gaming world .. Its not just BF that peoples only play from 1 to 2,2 hours a day its all games .. including any of those you could consider " good " . Also Mobile games are even included in most statistics
