Re: The more I find out about 2042 the less Battlefield it sounds like

@CyberDyme  thinking about characters, the only way that would remotely work if it was called 'Bad Company' and they made familynames & personality traits tie-ins.

    That is actually a great line of thought @zenn_nme !

    As with Battlefield: Bad Company and Battlefield: Bad Company 2, they really stood out from the other games in the series due to their unique storylines/narratives, sense of humor even, and the character focus.  In Bad Company we followed the exploits of Preston Marlowe and our Bad Company squad in a pure fictional conflict.  While in all other Battlefield games we have as players taking control of random no-name soldiers in various 'historical' wars.

    I am not too interested in it but I will definitely try the beta to see how it feels to play.

    May try the open beta, but as a PC player the main question is the AC and private servers or not.

    They can make the best game ever but if the game once more gets a broken AC system and no private servers then it dosent matter.
