It would be more fitting in a roleplaying game, or a childrens game.
Damn hard judgement, but..... so true that it hurts! :o)
Maybe it's EA's perverse way of making up for the missing campaign personas? As now we wont get the pleasure of playing 'Sergeant Daniel Recker' and doing all his crazy stunts and raids with his wonderful Marine Core Tombstone squad mates he had. Extraction pilot Hawkins, squad leader Dunn, CIA agent Laszlo Kovic, Irish and action lady Hannah!
Instead, we will now be stuck in some silly named specialists, with whom we do not get along...
Like a Rainbow Six released all way back in 2015.... Except back then it was maybe newsworthy...???
@CyberDyme thinking about characters, the only way that would remotely work if it was called 'Bad Company' and they made familynames & personality traits tie-ins.

That is actually a great line of thought @zenn_nme !
As with Battlefield: Bad Company and Battlefield: Bad Company 2, they really stood out from the other games in the series due to their unique storylines/narratives, sense of humor even, and the character focus. In Bad Company we followed the exploits of Preston Marlowe and our Bad Company squad in a pure fictional conflict. While in all other Battlefield games we have as players taking control of random no-name soldiers in various 'historical' wars.

I am not too interested in it but I will definitely try the beta to see how it feels to play.

May try the open beta, but as a PC player the main question is the AC and private servers or not.
They can make the best game ever but if the game once more gets a broken AC system and no private servers then it dosent matter.
