like every game DICE releases vehicles are beyond overtuned. i have literally seen one nightbird clear out an entire objective ( the D1 flag on Orbital) in one or two straves even inside that garage. DICE i know you really hate infantry play at the best of times but this is BFV levels of BS again. why not have helis spawn in before anyone else again and let them strave everyone the moment they deploy like it was on Hamada when it was still conquest assault?...the hovercraft is objectively the best farming vehicle after helis. super fast super tough and to top it off insane firepower... really well tought out...so what to do?-double the time it takes helis to reload rockets and countermeasures-lower the speed of the hovercraft or reduce its armor so it does not take 3! rockets- reduce the reload speed of the launchers- fix Raos hacking because it does not work 7/10 times or make it so hacked vehicles can not move for a few seconds....but as it is now either you farm in vehicles or you get farmed...

@carsono311 ehm, the hovercrafts speed makes it nigh impossible to kill it before it kills you. last night 2 of my mates and i were messing about in it for 5ish minutes on "Breakaway" i accumalated about 25 kills and 15 assists in that timeframe and we never used that vehicle before... we were only killed after 3 helsi decided they had enougha nd all used their lock ons. infantry had no chance. the current gameplay loop consists of hoping to not die by vehicle atm while traversing these huge spaces of nothingness on these maps and praying you do not get zergrushed by the enemy team once you get to where you want to be....don't get me wrong i enjoy the game so far but this is BFV bombers and planes all over again and we do not even have reliable AA in the game let alone efective countermeasures

@carsono311 at least we agree that it is too tanky...i would prefer if the light vehicles were less offensively focused and more focused on transport..for example:-remove the concealed gunners on the sides-put a HMG on top like the jeeps in BF3/4 etc.-increase the seats from 4 to 6-add a spotter-increase smoke to conceal troops dismountingatm all vehicle slots are more or less perma taken because some players just want to sit and farm, which forces a lot of players to run across the maps and since many have a lot of open fields planes/helis shooting from the skybox or Nightbirds doing fly bys is hard if not almost impossible to counter.....sure an orginised squad can handle a lot but with how the current matchmaker works and the limited party size you can only ever play with 3 friends and getting more then 3 into a lobby is a chore no one want to do

@X-Sunslayer-X I feel like the problem is the poor map design and not the vehicles themselves. Generally the maps are far too open and offer very little cover and theres not enough areas designed specifically for infantry combat. Manifest is the only map thats well balanced imo and I rarely feel like the vehicles are too op on that map because theres enough ways to avoid them. I think all vehicles are properly balanced with the hovercraft being the one exception. The hovercraft needs to be a bit slower and the side mounted guns need to be nerfed imo. So yeah, the feeling of op vehicles can easily be fixed with better map design

@X-Sunslayer-X Had a squad working together and if we weren't able to outright destroy the armor, we ran it off long enough to cap the objective

Spent most of my playtime so far in tanks and as soon as I get hit I reverse at full speed while keeping on eye on where the threats are coming from.
It's too easy to die fast in 2042 tanks to infantry.
It's challenging but I'm enjoying trying to keep my tank alive each round.
Having a lot of fun attempting to outwit the enemy.

Once XP is added back to Portal just create a game with transport vehicles only. I have one running right now on Noshahr Canals that has light transport vehicles only so it's basically Infantry only.

@X-Sunslayer-X I mainly try and run vehicles but I tell u if they other team simply focuses me I soon stop, infantry with explosives focusing on vehicles will keep them clear forever. Vehicles are not an issue it's the team ur on

My squad had a blast killing little birds and other vehicles with a SOFLAM, M5, Ammo crate. WIth the SOFLAM, the tiny helicopters die in 1 shot from a homing M5 missile. Also AT mines make short work of circling hovercrafts especially Kaleidescope B2.
And the SOFLAM works for the entire team too!.

If you roll with a squad of friends and everyone has the M5 rocket, vehicles will never be a problem. There's times I'll be irritated when vehicles are still continually going on kill streaks around the map when rockets should have been pulled out by now, that's usually when I'll jump into chat and toss out the recommendation. Some newer players might be in the servers and it's up to us Battlefield vets to guide them towards a team victory.
