The Portal mode mode running 1942 currently has bots show up to fill the roles with one player in the game, and the bots are actually pretty difficult to play against at times.
So there is nothing mentioned in the upcoming patch regarding this, hopefully it will get addressed in a future update as I really believe it would be a big help in reducing waiting times in the lobby.
i mean, even with the 8v8, the game throws in the rest as bots, so why not 6v6, even 5v5 always fun just to play.

I agree, the sooner we get rounds started the better imho.
More playing less delaying I say, there is way too much time spent in lobbies / menus in BF2042.
