The Armour Plate gadget makes the TTK too inconsistent, especially if you come up against a couple of enemies then your magazine is often left short to deal with both of them due to the extra bullets needed if they both have armour plate.
Worse still you don't know they are running it until you hit them and get the blue marker by that point its too late. The plate does not fit in with the gunplay of the BF series
@Trokey6620 shield feels definitely more than what the defensive perk gives
I always play as Angel and never put that armor plate on coz I tried it a couple of times and it is ineffective, so it is needless to use.
@Stew360I shot some dude with armor twice with the AC-42 and their health barely droped to 90%.
Considering that the AC42 is a 4 shot kill, this armor gave that dude like 50% more effective health.

How did he dismiss it, because you don't like it? How do you know youre the majority? Many may like it? It really only allows 1 extra bullet of damage, and if you are hit in the head it doesn't protect. Maybe get more shots on target?
I can see it now, get rid of armor, people complaining "TTK is too short" and "get rid of AP rounds because they are useless" and "way to go DICE, take the one thing that only made sense".
It is not like this is new either, some form of this was in BF2, 2142, BC2, BF4, BFH, and even BF1. So it has been around before battle royale was even an idea.
I really don’t see an issue with armor in the game at all. Just put a counter to it where they have limited sprint/slower.
