I've been playing through early access and I can say that I've tried it a few times and also been destroyed by it as well. So what happens is that tank play basically becomes sniping from afar when the troops on the ground need it to support them on the front lines.
I myself now resort to having drive vehicles in circles to lower the risk of a C5 drone.
It's a much bigger deal in Breakthrough than in Conquest. I've played Conquest 5x as much but I've only been killed by it once vs like 6 times in 15 rounds of Breakthough. It's not particularly easy to pull of for the drone operator, the target really has to be sitting still and unaware. If they're moving at all the time it takes to exit the drone and switch to the detonator means the target is likely out of kill range.
But considering you can do this as well as throw a health or ammo crate on it and fly it around while hiding I think they'll make it so nothing sticks to the drone anymore.
The Mav in Bf4 was a very niche gadget that could do the C4 trick but not many used it,now with the ability to heal or resupply people with it on top of spotting and EMP'ing vehicles they'll have to reign it in.
Yes. I'll be lucky if I can survive 5 minutes in a tank or AA.
Fun when you do it, not so fun when somebody does it to you. I mostly use it on people camping the outsides of the map

Agreed @xx-VoodooKing-xx ,
Its somewhat a bit cheapish trick. But still not that easy to pull off for the operator of the drone. Also the range to detonate the C5 is pretty short, so the bigger use of it is really limited I think.
Another thing is you only have one drone, so its a short-lived venture if you do not have friendlies around dropping ammo also for you to replenish. So haven't seen it abused much so far. Expect EA may nerf it if being abused much, when we see the gamers becoming more familiar with all the dirty little tricks... 😀
- @xx-VoodooKing-xx Its cheap and im 99% sure it will be patched out of the game. You should not be able to place C5 on a drone imo. Also, tanks on the front lines is usually not a good idea. In my experience good tank players usually sit on the outside sniping into the action
