I'm not trying to be a troll but am sincerely curious is a roadmap coming?I just feel this might relieve a lot of angst in community right now, not all of it naturally but a lot.

@Ironhead841 I've asked, I expect zero response.While a roadmap/timeline may be pretty standard for the industry for both games with strong launches to show DLC timelines and games like BF2042 that launched in a poor state to show what the team is working on and roughly when to expect it to ship/get more communications on it, apparently for DICE this is one of the "brutal expectations".If they don't have a roadmap 4-5 months post launch, they either still have no clue what they're doing or lack any confidence in their work to say anything publicly. Both obviously being bad possibilities for the game.

We should all be aware - and the last few months have shown it very clearly - that Dice is no longer an AAA developer studio.I think it's better for our mental health to stop expecting anything and look for gaming alternatives.

Only time will tell. but I worry that it may not come in time for many players who will simply move on to other games.

I sincerely hope so mate it is badly needed to try to keep us all sane.

I mean, EA's not gonna keep funding this game with this player count so why make an impressive roadmap if you're not giving the devs the resources?

@Daeyon-be Apex Legends is legit, but that's because Respawn is a great studio that's run by competent/excellent leadership. Something that seems largely in very short supply within EA's other studios.

@edgecrusherO0 Yup, Respawn knows what its doing. Titanfall 1 and 2 are still some of my favourite FPS games lol. And now I remember what they did with Titanfall 2 launch -_-

@Daeyon-be Yeah, EA sent that out to the slaughterhouse in between CoD and BF. I don't know if they intentionally sank the title or what, but whoever decided on that launch date had better not still have a job and had better never be put in a position where they determine launch dates ever again.

That was a disaster waiting to happen the second it was announced. Still pissed about that because TF2 is a bloody brilliant game with what is arguably the best FPS campaign I've played in the past 10-20 years in terms of its design.

As a matter of interest, did you guys buy the premium passes in previous BF's and if so what did you think of them .?
The reason I ask is with the premium pass you knew in advance,details of what you were getting, whereas we have currently no idea whatsoever what to expect in S1.
Every 3 months you were guaranteed 4 maps (sometimes more) plus other things.

There is no way they are putting out a road map. At most we will get some vague details on what is coming next but that's it. We won't even get a timeline on 2hats next because even they don't know.
Do not expect much in the next 6 weeks. If the same team just sent the update to master last week for testing, they just started planning for the next update and don't have any clue what that is.
