Roadmap?
I'm not trying to be a troll but am sincerely curious is a roadmap coming? I just feel this might relieve a lot of angst in community right now, not all of it naturally but a lot.

@Ironhead841They should have had a roadmap at launch, or a week orso after launch. I don't think we'll be seeing an actual roadmap any time soon. Maybe nearing summer? And even then... I mean, EA's not gonna keep funding this game with this player count so why make an impressive roadmap if you're not giving the devs the resources?
EA should stop trying to make live service games. They are so bad at it. I bought early access titles with better communication, updates and yes, even pre-launch roadmaps...I agree on all points I was just kinda hoping for one of them @EA guys to drop in and maybe clarify things a bit, I mean if it's not coming than just say so.
A lot of the irritation I (and I think others) are feeling is we just don't have any idea as to their mindset or methodology.
A definitive yes or no on some things would clear a lot of that up.
As a matter of interest, did you guys buy the premium passes in previous BF's and if so what did you think of them .?
The reason I ask is with the premium pass you knew in advance, details of what you were getting, whereas we have currently no idea whatsoever what to expect in S1.
Every 3 months you were guaranteed 4 maps (sometimes more) plus other things.

Yes, I always bought the premium pass. So did the rest of my clan. We were always confident that the game would be good and that we would purchase any DLCs anyway. We also run our own servers instances (until BF4 that is) and wanted to provide the players on our servers with the most recent maps when they were released and of course also wanted to play on our own servers.
I must confess that I initially thought that getting rid of the premium pass concept would be a good idea to avoid splitting the community. But now, I am not so sure.
But what is clear to me is that WERE they to return to a premium model NOW, I would 100% NOT purchase that. I lost all confidence that Dice still 'has it in them'. The likelihood of the BF franchise dying with this installment is now much higher than the next Battlefield title will be any good. I feel very sad about what my once favorite franchise has become.
@DuaneDibbleyYeah I always bought the premium passes back then and as you point out there was always that question regarding splitting the communities.
I don't think there would be a big demand if they tried to reintroduce the season pass based on the quality of the current 7 AOW maps.
Imagine paying out more money for Hourglass 2, I would pay good money not to have to play Hourglass ever again. 🙂
Like you I will be sad if this installment brings about the demise of the BF franchise I have had so many hours of enjoyment with BF's over the years. ☹️
