Roadmap?
I'm not trying to be a troll but am sincerely curious is a roadmap coming? I just feel this might relieve a lot of angst in community right now, not all of it naturally but a lot.

Every BF game upon release had some sort of roadmap AT launch.
Even BF4 had a clean, more of a teaser, Roadmap. but you knew: Content is coming. And BF4 already had 12 maps and 74 weapons. Chew on that.
@Buzzfunk they actually admitted that they needed more time to COMPLETE the seasonal content, which means it's not done. Which is probably why we don't have a roadmap. If you don't know what you are doing, how can you tell others what you are doing?
So either they are lying or they are trying for a soft reboot for Season 1 because you are spot on, every other game had a known roadmap that you could look forward to. Why doesn't BF2042?
In some cases, having a roadmap made me play more. Why, because I wanted to level up the existing content knowing I would have new weapons, gadgets, and vehicles to level up once the new content dropped. So just the knowledge of upcoming content actually made me play more before the content drop. Anyone else?

I tweeted Marcus Lehto directly about a Roadmap; we will see if he replies and if so, with what type of response.

In the meantime, I can say we’re making some great progress building the new studio here in the Seattle area. 🙂"
Not much info, but at least he replied. Most of the Community Managers don't even reply.
So my assumption is they are kicking the can down the road until the new studio is up and running.
If that is the case, just say so.

As you say at least he replied, although he was very non committal and didn't actually mention the roadmap which you specifically asked about.
Saying "Yes we are working hard! All news will be coming through official channels" doesn't give any indication of what news or when we will receive it.
So its good they are making great progress building a new studio, what we would really like them to tell us is how much progress they are making in their efforts to turn round BF2042. !

It is definitely not acceptable that the Official Forum receives its news second hand, or in most cases receives NO NEWS AT ALL.!
Yeah, I mean, if you are a community manager, what are you doing when you are not interacting with the community. Whatever they are doing should not be taking up 99.9% of their time and we get interaction 00.1% of the time.
I understand they have to get with the teams to get info and updates, then draft something for approval to release. However, they should be able to interact with us on a more frequent basis unless they are part-time employees.
I have just never seen a major company and studio be so silent on updates to a major game that sold millions of copies just a few short months ago.
- @Ironhead841 The point is to give us a place to complain about while DICE continues to be opaque and refuse to communicate. This way they can centralize the complaints to one place so they can ignore them all at once rather than have to ignore them from multiple different locations.
Just posting again in the hope that DICE reads and replies to our request for a BF2042 Roadmap.
- @RayD_O1 Don't worry, we'll probably never get a roadmap at this point. Improved communication is apparently, "Still basically complete and total silence and no communication." because DICE leadership can't figure out what CM's are actually for and/or aren't aware of how much of a dumpster fire this game is/how few people are left playing.

You are probably right but they can't stop us asking.
If they ever do get round to reading / responding to forum posts then we want a Roadmap to be one of their top priorities so going to try and keep this thread alive.
BF2042 desperately needs a Roadmap. !! LOL yeah I ain't holding out much hope for this anymore.

- @Adamonic Those seem more like forum janitors than BF CM's. They're doing their job, but DICE isn't letting the CM team do theirs.
DICE leadership continues to seem to be completely MIA on this game.
