RSP-Servers for 2042
Update1: JackFrags & LevelCapGaming have posted a video stating, "BF2042 servers would have persistent Banlist". It would be great if someone from EA/DICE could confirm it. @Straatford87 Update2: ...
Whilst I agree players should be able to Host their own Servers, I believe players who do so should also sign an additional EULA than acknowledges they are responsible that their server fulfills and meets the T&C's EA stipulates in their general servers.
If players are found to be in void of this EULA for their own servers which they payed for, then their server should be shut down and their monies payed for said server forfeited.
This is the only way to combat badly run player servers. VIP lists are a huge No No as it will segregate the player base. Private lobbies could be a thing but not as a whole permanent server.
Essentially if players want their own servers, they must be held accountable to a standard set by EA. If a server gets reported and is found to have problems then relevant actions must be taken against the server owner. Accountability must exist is all I'm saying.
Server owners in BF4 think they own the game and this sort of thinking needs to stop, as it abuses the T&C's EA stipulates.
As long as each region has servers, ensuring everyone can play with low latency then I seriously don't see an issue with how EA is handling things. It will prevent worse problems, which community servers are generally incapable of solving on their own.
I think players having the option of submitting their configured server configuration to be spun up for BF Portal is a better Idea than giving people permanent servers, it saves on resources when no one is playing.
Ban lists should not be handled by anyone in the community.
Just put a filter in the server browser for offical servers and you are fine.
I dont understand your arrgument, there will be always official servers. Why bothering with community servers if you are so annoyed by them?
"Ban lists should not be handled by anyone in the community."
But thats the only way how it works - EA DICE never accompllished a proper anticheat.
The only way to play with no cheaters in BF 4 were the community driven servers. Since RSP is gonne we have absolutly no protection from cheaters.
Did you played BF1 and BF V?
I really dont understand how you can argue against RSP - if you dont like it you dont have to join it - its that simple.
I dont care about a server full of cheaters. I would join once and I know I have to never come back.
I care about servers with no cheaters and in all the years I play Battlefield i had always the best experience on community managed servers.
You can still dream of a proper cheat protection from Dice but in all the past Battlefields the only proper cheat protection we get were active admins.
Again - you can always join an official dice server and have not to bother with badadmin or admin who "protect" cheater.
