Rule Editor and XP

I have been trying to get a Air Superiority Server Up and running which I have worked it out.

The Problem is Rule Editor I know how to use it but it is stuffed that if I wanted to add custom messages or Kill Streak Messages it then changes the FULL XP to Player XP just for changing the messages which I do not see why? for the life of me adding custom messages to your server  should not change anything.

Players won't play on your server if it is not Full XP.

So what I am asking is can you change this The Server community will be better for it and players will be better informed..

Cheers

I know where you coming from and multiple people agree and don't understand certain limitations DICE has set for Portal.

But currently it is what it is.

So you can change everything you want in your Portal server settings and still have full XP and progression, except two things!

You can not enable AI for the server or use the Rules Editor (not a single action in there) or it will be restricted XP and no progression.

But if you only want to add a welcome message that pops up on the screen for players as they join the server, you can do that without using the Rules Editor!

When you create the server at first on the website, you can only add a "name" and "description".

But once you created/saved it, go into your BF2042 game and go to your created Portal Experiences. There you should see your server ready to Host.
If you then want to host it, there are now more abilities to write something.

    - Name

    - Description (which shows in main menu for others and in the loading sceen while joining)

    - Welcome message (which pops up in the upper right corner once people passed the loading screen and i think as soon as they deploy the first time)

That's all you can do for now if you want Full XP and progression until DICE does further adjustments to the Portal options.

  • @Reema666 as soon as you do ANYTHING in the rule editor xp is getting stripped down, atleast in the portal editor...

but somehow stuff is not really synced with ingame and you still might end with a full xp matchup even if the portal editor state it is not.
I'm not 100% sure but I think this "missmatch" between portal editor and ingame just works for anything without rule editor, but maybe give it a try.
