I now have 20h of playtime (all conquest), and I think that 50% of this was done on Renewal. I already had multiple times this map 2 times in a row, but yesterday evening set a record : 3 times !! On the remaining 50% I think I played manifest and Orbital only once, Hourglass and Kaleidoscope 4 or 5 times, and the rest is shared between discarded and breakaway. I would really like to play something else than Renewal that I keep getting constantly, but of course we don't have any server browser and there's nothing I can do except crossing fingers that the next map won't be Renewal again. I tried both quitting at the end of the match or let the countdown start again to next and still get Renewal again, and again, and again...I'm playing online games since Duke Nukem on PC, that was before internet was even a thing, and I NEVER saw something like that. How is that even possible that the matchmaking doesn't have some kind of map history so that the next map is just simply a different one from the previous ?? Why disbanding the lobby each time and reset any map rotation that exists (if there's any...). Reading some comments on other forums I can see that I'm not the only one and many people are replaying the same map over and over, with some people still to play some of them.Is this something DICE is going to address ?

Thing is, shouldn't even need a server browser for that. Just rotate the bloody maps on the same loop and keep rotating. Have no idea what is going on under the hood of this game

Can I ask why, in Rush, my squad defended for entire run of classic maps. What happened to playing each map twice, once attacking and once defending? Changing server at the end of every round is stupid. If I find myself with a good squad of randoms, I want to stay with them, not play each round with a different set of people. I also find myself playing the same maps over and over. I'm sick to death of hourglass.

@xXGugusseXx Yesterday I was put in renewal 7 times before I just quit. Such a buggy map. I really hate the matchmaking in this game and wish for a browser again.

@taif_nassif imagine playing the same map each time you start your PS for a 1h game. That's exactly what's happening 50% of the time for me.

The new system that forces you out of the server at the end of every game is their idea of skill based matchmaking but obviously you could easily end up just playing the same maps over and over because you get joined to a random server at the end of every match rather than stay in one server with a set map rotation.
Terrible idea all round IMO.

@RipGroove99 If I remember correctly BF4 had SBMM, at least for the first match you played and if you used quick play (BF4 had a sever browser, like all BF I remember except 2042), and it didn't reset the lobby between match. Why are we going back to multiplayer pre-history with 2042 ??

I don't remember it on BF4 but then I probably mainly played on privately hosted servers with set map rotations. They tested the SBMM in BFV a while back in preparation for implementing it in 2042, everyone hated it in BFV, everyone complained and it got removed, why they put it in 2042 is anyone's guess, at this point it feels like they are just trolling us.

@xXGugusseXx This used to happen on Battlefront 2 all the time as well. I'd queue up for Galactic Assault, and end up playing the same maps and almost never get to try any new content. When they'd add a new map, they'd have to put it in it's own separate matchmaking list lol!!

Thank God they added Supremacy and Co-op with separate play lists for the different eras and attack/defend. Basically the fix was to split the maps up into so many playlists it was near impossible to keep getting matched onto the same map lol
