@Max_Horo because it was literally a minute "nerf" weapons like the MP9 with the CQC Drum mag had longer ADS time with its 50 bullets then the LMGs with up to 4x the ammo count....
the person in charge didn't bother about balance whatsoever he just wanted to push what he thought was best for the game without needing to listen to anyone else...
the problem with the SFAR is entiely different. for example DICE could just cut the ammo count down to 30 instead of 40 and see how it behaves then. just an example

@X-Sunslayer-X But who ADS SMGs, surely they should be hipfire beasts similar to previous iterations.....

ADS should always be a valid option especially in 2042 because of this games aweful design decision to make everything coverless fields....
do the magazine siezes need addressing ? yes the do was DICEs idea good? no, at no step of the way was there any semblence of sense in the ADS nerf because again it did not effect guns with high magazine counts like the PP-29 or any LMG for that matter and it also didn't effect the BSVMs extended mags either...
someone at DICE just really hated SMGs and ARs - SCUBASTEVE1203 years agoSeasoned Ace@Trokey66 I ads in 2042. Hipfire isn't that reliable on here and there's no good way to buff it. Lasers gave every weapon a 50% hipfire spread reduction in BF3 (so essentially if you picked this any automatic weapon could be reliably hipfired). In 2042 I feel like it's only about 15-20 % hipfire spread reduction. And the blue/green lasers don't decrease it at all they just keep the reticle from increasing while moving (so worthless if weapon already has bad hipfire)
