When people kept demanding a traditional scoreboard that tracked K/d most unfortunately didn't also realize or emphasize in thier communications that the scoring system would also need to be totally overhauled to give us the real BF experience.
But with the release of this iteration of a scoreboard people seem to be waking up to the fact that the scoring system itself needs to be the foundation of change. The score board will only be successful in reflecting what we're doing in game when the Devs upgrade the ability of the engine to track and reward points for the much larger variety of actions that past installments of the franchise always have.
- @TheCompton73 Yep, the lack of a functional scoring system from previous BF games is another "legacy feature" that there apparently wasn't enough time to make.
And that DICE hasn't acknowledged so we have no clue if they even care or will try to add it back in.
