Season 1 and upcoming update......

Soooo, season 1 is around the corner, and all I have saw is that BF3 and BC2 maps are being added to the rotation of Conquest (All Out War).

Maps:

Seems kind of lacking unless there is a new map also appearing for season 1? But we need more than previous game maps and 1 new maps, this game is in need of several maps added, especially city based maps, London, Paris, Berlin would make for great maps and will add to the mix of open tank friendly maps to heavy infantry based maps just like what BF4 did with the China Rising maps which had a heavy emphasis on infantry. So far the maps we got play a lot into vehicle combat with so much open terrain.

Weapons:

Secondly, weapons, or lack there of for this area of the game, we need several weapons in each category added, LMG, AR, Sniper, Marksman and pistols. This area of the game was the biggest disappointment on day 1 as previous titles had a wide range of weapons to use, such as BF3 had 48, BF4 had 84, These a rough number as I only did Base game weapons, but the variety we had just from those 2 BF games to now where we just have 22 base game weapons (Not including portal) is disappointment. We urgently need a lot of weapons added and by the dozen not just 2 or 3 person season.

This part is for the Next Gen Consoles only:

Third, Lack of Mouse and Keyboard support for Next Gen Consoles also. I understand this is a major point for Next Gen consoles, but its almost Season 1 and still nothing indicating that this will be added, almost 7 month (Nov 12th - June 12th) and still nothing, its very quickly coming up to a year for this game and its been nothing but small updates and disappointment. Its either implement M&K support for Next Gen Consoles as we play with PC players, or risk losing so many players by disabling PS5 and Xbox Series S/X from cross platforming with PC. The players know that if you have full Cross platform with consoles and PC you need to have the M&K support there alongside, especially with FPS games.

@Cemtexx you do realize that we are basically getting the one season of actual content broken into 4 seasonal releases, each with 100 tiers, most with fillers?
Since the free tier has to have a chance at the actual content, there will only be 30 items of content released per season.
Actual content will look something like this: 30 total of new Specialist (x1), Vehicles/Aircraft (x2), Weapons (x6-7), Attachments (x7-10), Gadgets (x1), Drone (x1), Skins (x10)
100 Tiers will look something like this, just adding 70 slots for more skins, XP boosts, and player cards:
1 - New Map, 1 - New Specialist, 1 - New Drone, 1 - New vehicle, 1 - New aircraft, 1 - New Gadget, 1 - New Weapon per class, 2-3 - new attachments per weapon, 3-4 - sets of skins for all Specialists/Vehicles/Weapons, ~20 - XP boosts, ~16 - Player cards, ~16 - Charms, ~8 - Takedowns, ~10 - BS-FC
It is a joke really, by locking real content to the free tier, they can restrict it as much as they want. So 30 per season is 120 items. I bet 20 or more will be skins, charms, player cards or takedowns. Which would mean the original 100 items for Season 1 were broken down for 4 seasons and then they add in 20 items of fluff.

@AdamonicAll that and 1 new map? its a joke, Ever other BF games had atleast 2 minimum maps, sometimes 3 - 4 maps, look at BF3 and BF4, map releases came in 3-4 maps per dlc, BF5 had I think a minimum of 2 maps per DLC, and the weapons are still lacking for DLC for 2042 as I can see.

They really need to have something special, or release more than 1 map per season (Not including portal maps coming to conquest) otherwise this first season could be the final nail in the coffin for this game.

@Cemtexx It's just hard. Apparently "all of DICE" is working on 2042 and the best they could do in 6 months was bugfixing and finishing some core development/polish they didn't have time to finish before selling us the game, and...what is one of the most lackluster sounding content drops of all time despite them having an extra 3+ months to work on S1 and beyond.

It absolutely doesn't feel like "all of DICE" is working on the game, even understanding that it's not exactly literal given that there are a lot of non-development staff and folks dedicated to other non-BF projects. It still feels like they've left "live-ops" to a small team of interns, not a full fledged life-service team of experienced developers with competent leadership.

Which, as always, I'll blame on DICE leads. I'm sure DICE devs are busting their butts every single day. But leadership and planning is failing them repeatedly, endlessly.

About Exodus AOW, did anyone have a match in Orbital map?? In SOLO/CO-OP mode now there are only 10 maps and Orbital is gone...

Yes, Orbital was maybe the best of the new maps, so they had to remove it to ensure players don't actually have fun.

They try everything short of stopping their servers to make sure players will not play the game anymore. Removing good maps from the rotation and not bringing persistent servers and map rotations or a server browsers are the most obvious steps.

@DuaneDibbley They removed my favorite 128 breakthrough and now removed my favorite map. Yea they are for sure trying to kill this game. I wonder how they come up with this? Do they sit in a meeting and say hey this map is one of our best so let’s remove it and add something so players don’t play. This game isn’t even in beta to me it’s now in production mode lol

@Cemtexx I know nothing about computers or programming. But other games for console have M&K. So it can’t be that difficult. Or is it? Just give it to them already.

@Sc0tch_Whiskey I agree, I can hop onto Sniper Elite 5, Modern Warfare, Cold War and a few other games on the Xbox and play right away with Mouse and Keyboard, so I don't understand why they are scared of adding something that should go hand in hand with full Cross Platform.

At this point I would not even be surprised if the said that we 'like big maps' (or some random other BS they might invent) and for that reason will remove all maps from the game and only bring us persistent servers with playlist consisting only of 'El Alamein' and 'Hourglass'.

They will call that 'Ultimate dessert experience week'.

And after a week come back and tell us that we obviously did not like this and therefore will not provide persistent servers with map rotations in the future.

They are so disconnected and quite obviously NOBODY that has any influence there at Dice does actually play the game. When they say 'See you on the battlefield!' they mean THEY see US on the Battlefield. But from a monitoring tool, identifying instances where players might actually still have fun in the hope to find a way to remove those with as little effort as possible.
When reading what I just wrote I must say that might sound like sarcasm. And I wish it was. But in all honesty, this might not even be too far from the truth.
