My BP is currently 80 or 81, but where do I see this T1 Mastery stuff? I have no idea what you guys are talking about. What are we mastering?

I just hit 100, but only have 923 points towards the badge. Sigh. Dice pls

@Skill4ReelPlayer Card > Season, mouse over Season 2 badge. Apparently you are mastering the Season. A Badge of honor.
- RMEChief3 years agoLegend@DaMutha1 If you have Gold Edition like I do, you will always be at least 40 off from the 4x free levels you got at the beginning. So if you hit 100, you are about 37 off. Play one round in Portal, then back to AOW. That should get you closer. The last round played never updates immediately for me.

That makes sense, thanks. I do have Gold Edition.

DICE is heavily punishing Gold/Ultimate edition customers with this. Because the cost of BP points increases every 10 points. This means you lose the 40 points on the front-end which only requires 110k XP to obtain for non-gold customer. For Gold/Ultimate users, you have to earn those final 40 points to reach 1200 at an additional cost of 2.5M XP. THis means a gold/utlimate customer needs to play ~167 more matches to reach Seasonal T2 badge with average 15k per round earned.

that's not how it works
the exp points are their own entity and are not affected by your BP level or weekly missions.
- 3 years ago@Psubond hmm... sorta does.
Assuming everything is calculating correctly (a BIG assumption), If I reach level 100 with gold/ultimate, I should have 960 BP.
But because DICE gave me the level for free, but didn't reward me the actual BP for that level, if I want T1 I have to make up the 40 points on the backend when they are 20K+. Gold/Ultimate players are getting penalized for spending more money on the game, which is the opposite of what should happen.
The whole system is a POS. IF you get a reward or even purchase level advancement with boins, the BP should count towards your T1.
The way it is now, you need an abacus, scientific calculator and mathematics degree to determine if your points are correct, which you shouldn't need to do if DICE got their c-rap together and fixed the point system calculator and tracking. I shouldn't have to play different modes to try and shake my BP loose. - DigitalHype3 years agoSeasoned Ace

It is how it works. I'm not talking about acquiring player rank with XP. I'm referring to obtaining BP points via the XP weekly mission. Once you have completed all the missions, you earn BP points by accruing XP. This repeatable mission to earn a BP point cost increases by 500 XP for every 10 points earned. In order to acquire the seasonal T1 badge you need to obtain 1200 points. There is nowhere near enough points earned from completing all non-repeatable missions to achieve this. So the only method is by accuring XP and completing the weekly repeatable mission.
So the first 0-10 mission costs 2000XP per point point to achieve. That is a total of 20k XP to get 10 points. The next 10 cost 2.5k each or 25k more XP to obtain and so on until reach 1200. Putting the non-weekly repeatable missions aside. the cost for the last 40 points (i.e. 1160-1200) is 12430000 XP. Gold/Ultimate customer lose the first 40 points at 110k XP cost though. Because their BP starts at 40, but does not give them 40 BP points toward the seasonal mastery. So the first 40 BP points for Gold/Ultimate customer instead costs 190k. And the last 40 costs 2.51million more to reach.
In reality it will be slightly lower because some points come from the non-weekly missions. But, its still hundreds of more matches that a gold/ultimate customer will need to play to reach T1 badge vs. basic edition.
- Psubond3 years agoLegend@DigitalHype it is the same total amount of exp needed to get to 1150 bp points on badge. the only difference is you get the cosmetic bp unlocks a little faster.
if you do all weeklies you get 588 points towards badge. that means you need 562 points from exp. that is true with or without premium - Psubond3 years agoLegend
this is encouraging (from patch notes for tomorrow)
- Fixed an issue with the Battle Pass Mastery Badge tracking slowly. The badge should now track correctly when progress is made

The issue is the first 40 points toward the season mastery badge are not given to Gold/Ultimate customers. However, they still do increase the XP cost to acquire those 40 points to the 40 point tier cost. Basic customer starts at 2000xp per point. premium customer starts at 4000xp per point. They software increases the XP cost by 500 for every point. They start premium customers at 40 (first 4 tiers given) but do not give them those 40 mastery points.
Obviously the #'s change if you buys skips or complete non-repeatable assignments. But, the progression doesn't and the problem remains.
Here is what it looks like for a non-premium customer.

also, your scale is way off. i am at 1087 points on badge and my exp per dot is 31k - Psubond3 years agoLegend
the exp is it's own separate thing and it starts at the same place for everyone regardless of premium/no premium or what level you have unlocked in BP. exp dots for mastery start at 2000 for everyone and progress the same as you go regardless of skips purchased or weekly missions done

@Psubond I didn't check at the start of the season. I'm happy to be wrong if they started premium at 2k. I know when I look at my seasonal badge it is exactly 40 points behind my BP tier. When I was doing the math last season it appeared I started at 4k because the end requirement was higher than the math showed. But that might have just been because of the bugs with the tracking which are now fixed.
Regarding the scale. Yes. It is way off now. I'm at 691 and XP requirement is only 8750. It looks like they reduced it heavily compared to last season when I made the spreadsheet. In S1 the requirement increased 500xp every 10 points. There was a lot of complaints about the grind. So, It seems like that has been nerfed along with the total required being reduced as well. Trying to see if there was any communication of the details of this change.

Unfortunately it wasn't fixed...
I took these screenshots earlier today.
- ATFGunr3 years agoLegend@Daniel--SwensonThey tried to fix it last time too, and couldn’t. I know players who had the XP and didn’t get the S1 badge. I’m L92 with only 854 points, so that math doesn’t work. It’s incredibly disappointing that this far into S2 and they still can’t fix their garbage. I’ve done the Portal and different modes to shake points loose, and it does help, but it’s still short.
