Re: [INFO] BF2042 Patch 8.8 (May 27) – Secure Boot Requirement for Supported Systems

Just tried to boot up the game and was prompted to enable secure boot in my BIOS in order to play the game. In what universe should a user be required to modify their BIOS in order to play a game? This is incredibly invasive and possibly hazardous for my PC so I'm not going to do it, which effectively means I can't play BF2042 anymore.

No troubleshooting or response from EA needed, but if there is a community manager listening, please forward some feedback internally. This is not okay and I won't play any battlefield games in the future that require this.  A cursory glance at some reddit threads indicate that enabling this setting has also bricked several players' machines. Please don't force PC players to modify their BIOS in order to play a game.
