@Ironhead841
AC42 and AK24 need a MINOR buff. M5A3 can actually outperform the SFAR when equipped with HP rounds and shortened barrel

Check on sym gg - setup I recommended makes m5a3 a more forgiving version of the SFAR since it's got a higher RoF, roughly same TTK and better recoil control
- CarreraLuu3 years agoSeasoned Veteran@Metal_Daryl97 I already did not sure if you saw my post with the comparison of all AR's and the SFAR still has the highest damage output of 28, while the others are around 22

Wrong, all ARs have a base damage of 28. However the distance it keeps the 28 before dropping is different, and of course keep in mind normal ammo vs high power. Normal ammo is fine and balanced on the SFAR, the problem as you show is with High Power (clearly as shown in the image). And dont forget the slow firerate of the SFAR vs the fast of others, that means alot to TTK.
And in my opinion all other ARs should be buffed at long range, not the SFAR nerfed. Coming from a BF veteran like me, in the past weapons used to do a lot more damage at range. Dropping down to 15 and taking 7 shots to kill is ridiculous. Back in BF2 and BF2142 (from 2005 and 2006) an Assault Rifle never dropped below 20dmg. Never. Maxium bullets 5, minimum 3-4. Not 7 like now.
For comparison in 2042 the PP-29 (SMG) currently does more dmg at range (18) than quite a few of the ARs who drop down to 15. Stupid. All ARs should be buffed to minimum 20dmg (5 bullets) and compensate that with slightly more recoil/spread instead. Requires more aim and skill then than the full auto spray n pray nowadays.. :P

@JWGrasliI already showed the stats from sum.gg , if you go back you will see what I posted and wrote. All with high drum magazine it still does more damage from 0 to 70/80 meters before damage drop off, at times it doesn't even feel that way when you are getting beamed by it from over 100+ meters. All I'm asking from them to adjust the bullet drop off from the 0-80 meters range and look into it's headshot Multiplier.
I've been playing battlefield since 2005 my friend.

I see that, the base max damage is still the same as the others - its the DISTANCE before dropping of thats different. Others drop off earlier, SFAR later. So base dmg is the same, but it becomes different since the dropoff starts later. So learn the difference there 😉 And still I think thats intentional by the devs given its slow rate of fire with High Power. Otherwise it would be the same as AK and AC42 but end up actually weaker because of its slow rate of fire.
Anyway its the High Power ammo thats the problem, not the base weapon with standard ammo - that IS balanced already.
And once again, older BFs had much more damage than that. More nerfing and we end up with snipers only..
- X-Sunslayer-X3 years agoSeasoned Ace@JWGrasli the drop of would be the same but the difference is most other guns use standard issue while the SFAR uses High power

Distance to dropoff is different, max dmg is the same. 25m before drop on others, 75m on SFAR. SFAR also has standard issue, that IS balanced while high power maybe not but its a compromise I guess for slow ROF.

Time-to-kill values are more meaningful than damage dealt per shot for full auto weapons
