Should Grind Currency Return?

What are your thoughts on current currency? Should grind currency return back to Battlefield 2042?

Here's what I've have found so far:

Old build showing B coins and C coins, (Battlefield Coins) / (Company Coins?)

Old Battlefield 2042 build UI/UX

Clip of Ryan McArthur (Senior Producer, DICE) explaining currency

Current currency Battlefield Coins or for short BFC, prices with EA Play discount

COMPANY COIN from Battlefield V:

Company Coin is the main currency featured in Battlefield V.

Company Coin is used to unlock weapon and vehicle specializations as well as cosmetic options for soldiers, weapons, and vehicles in the The Armory.

It can be obtained through the completion of special and daily assignments as well as career progression.

@Dedzigs I currently don't see myself to spend real money on BFC to buy skins for BF2042. Currently the game lacks helmets as well as realistic camo patterns for the map environments, some stuff you could unlock for company coins in BFV, which expanded the toolbox to individualize your WWII soldiers.
In BF2042 everybody looks the same, on both factions, and the skins for the specialists differ in the details how to make them stand out in the bushes more.
One thing that BFV made in a right way was, that a prone german soldier with a grey helmet and dirty grey coat was hard to spot beside some rubble after a bombardment of Rotterdam. They didn't force applied fire red grenades and a bright red stripe across the helmet, so they are easier to spot.

So no I don't thing, BF2042 needs CompanyCoins, as the season one content already showed, that they don't have the content, the game needs.
What the game doesn't need are weapon charms, player cards, or player tags that only represent that the player reached a certain level on the battle pass season 1. Not that you find those reference on the respective items either.
What I also don't understand, why there are "rarities" assigned to the unlocks on the battlepass, when they are all equally available.

I 100% agree, I would be quite surprised [hesitated to say "impressed"] if it would be anything more than that.

@Anobix Yeah there are rumors of some portal content coming over but I will believe it when I see it.

Yeah, agreed there too. If they managed to bring over many of the none-duplicate weapons from portal (hell, even the 1942 ones...) and gave them progression stuff I'd be down with that. Not like an M1 Garand will be less meme-y than the crossbow (lol)

  • @Dedzigs I don't want to see 2 currencies again it's kind of lame in my opinion. But more opportunities to bring for the current currency form would be cool. Like in the battlepass but maybe weekly opportunities to earn some outside of the battlepass
