I play on PC and I don't see any PC cheaters, at all. The biggest problem are console "cheaters" with insane aim assist. They get headshots left and right. No skill involved. Just wave your pointer and press fire at random. Amazing gameplay.
But the crossplay should stay and it's an amazing feature. It allows community and player base to grow. In previous BF games, with no crossplay, it was really hard to play at night for example. Only like one map where people run and gun like aholes in those bullet ridden clusterfs. I bet you miss those.
- DigitalHype3 years agoSeasoned AceThey just need a smarter matchmaker. Make no-crossplay the default and fall back to crossplay if not enough players. Instead of forcing everyone into a static pool, add some logic to it with priority. It would slow the matchmaking times for a low population game. But it would still allow DICE/EA to take advantage of the increased pool of players by default. Give us 3 options.
- Option 1 (default): Attempt to match with players on my same platform first. If not enough players found then match all platform.
- Option 2. Always attempt to match with all platforms.
- Option 3. Never attempt to match with other platforms.
With option 1 as default, it would still let DICE off the hook when it comes to not having enough players to seed the matchmaker due to times of low popularity. And if they want to do SBMM, they can still put checks around Option 1 for standard deviation of skill, and if exceeded some maximum it would switch to crossplay.
- 3 years ago@Boro666pl Just to make sure of something here, the part of my opening post that you chose to quote was me being facetious. I play on PC obviously and to be honest I havent really seen any great amount of cheaters/hackers while ingame. Of course I dont play this game much anymore either. Like you I get killed a crazy amount of times in exactly the manner as you have described.
LOL, no. I will never miss clusterfs with aholes running around doing their run and gun awesomeness. I prefer to see and participate in a more organized manner with likeminded players but this game does not lend itself to that nor will it ever.- Boro666pl3 years agoRising Traveler
@CascadiaSRL Anyways, crossplay is the future and people have to deal with it. Sure, you can say this and that, but finally after all those years, when Sony was actively blocking implementation of crossplay in games, we can finally play with our friends on different platforms. And even play at all, because now the lobbies finally are always full. I'm in a good position because my region is EU. The community is big here, but for example people in AUS region always struggled. Even now with crossplay it's not all rainbows and unicorns.
