You could limit the number of snipers because it's already sick. You can't play the game relaxed...

Play something else.

Actually making sniping hard would dissuade a fair few. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's a easy to head shot a bunny hopping player from across the map, but the mechanics of sniping in bfv are seriously dumbed down. We need proper rifle sway whist standing for starters

That's sad, why don't you just get better.
- 4 years ago@ninjapenquinuk yep, so dumb down in BFV that snipers all stayed behind other players, instead of moving forward like Recon. Making harder will just make more camp. Bolt-action required players to be still to improve accuracy.

Why would you have proper sway on sniper rifles n BFV? They are the standard rifle used by most of the armies in WW2. Only the US moved away from bolt action rifles in the early years of the war, the remainder kept them as standard to the end. If you implemented sway on a Lee-Enfield or KAR98, then in theory every rifle i the Assault class would need the same.

Wonder if anyone has looked at the relative success of teams compared to the number of snipers in the teams. Its boots on the objectives that wins?
I have played games in the past with squads that have proper roles and proper coms. Having someone overlooking, spotting and taking out enemy to help taking an objective is proper use of the role. Only works if the server is not crowded and the squad works together to PTFO and everyone puts the objective before KDR. Maybe the larger maps will encourage that.Imagine working like that then calling in a vehicle for extraction. Folk don't play like that now do they? Used to. BF2 filling up a transport chopper on the carrier and invading a base on Wake Island used to be fun.

As much as I dislike snipers, I can't see a limit ever being put on them.
As long as there are adequate means of killing or at least, displacing them then frustratingly, crack on.

I say petition who have nothing to add to the convo. You don't like his point of view that's fine.. come up with a better counter argument than that or go to another thread.
