There are too many snipers in fps especially Battlefield series and triple that for COD. The game dosen't flow due to being put in a situation where you have no defense, dreaded head shot from no where. What made Black Hawk Down a great movie was the grind not the sniper play...there weren't any. So our one chance to limit how many snipers are on the map is to sign a petition with your screen name and hope the real players can be heard. I will be the first.

@DDouble_Tap02Map design goes a long way to alleviating this. BF1 and BFV had too many sniper friendly maps with wide open spaces. There were also not enough vehicles.
In BF4, it's not that big a deal. Snipers can still be a factor, but they don't dominate the map. And with the much higher vehicle counts, they can't get comfortable for long. A team full of snipers in BF4 often loses the map.
Funny story from JackFrags...he said at the press event for BF2042, the devs told them about some of the play testing. Apparently, they got pinned down by a sniper. But then the weather picked up, and a tornado dropped a cargo container on the sniper! LOL!!!!!
DICE could make fewer Scouts snipe if only they gave Scouts other proper weapons to select.
In BF1 you have no fully automatic Scout weapon, i.e. you have to spam-click when using the M1903 Experimental.
Give Scouts some fun, fully automatic weapons.
PS. I love to PTFO as Scout in BF1, but Russian Trench is the only viable weapon choice along with a pistol like Frommer Stop, I feel. It would be so nice to have a fully automatic.

I didn't see many snipers in BF4. Hm, guess there was only room for 1. lol. Seen a lot of tanks though, like 3 strong and hill sniper tanks. Yeah a hill tank sniper is much better. lol. Blow those tanks up 2-3 at a time and knife both tank people when they get out to repair and give the tank to a TM. lol

lol. Yeah snipers can be easy targets if their out in no mans land. They don't won't to always being looking down the sights and check their back every couple minutes. Might be able to fight people running at them, but if their in a vehicle or tank it's going to be more challenging to say the least. A sniper can be harder to get at though if they stay closer to the team and give warning of threats ahead of time. Unless the other team is more dominate.
