Simple as that.
Problem solved.
I notice that when I played BF1-V small maps got played. BF3 too
There's a reason why small maps are the most popular: most people want the constant action of run-and-gun, and instant-gratification high kill counts. I would be so very pleased if BF gave us more of that. I prefer shooting over spending most of the time time traveling across a map to get to a position to engage. Personally, I couldn't care less about the huge maps with the jets and tanks; I would much rather engage in close quarters combat.
And to add to the sniper discussion, there is no way for someone to quick-scope a sniper rifle in real life, period, so if we're going for realism then that shouldn't be a part of it all. Just my 2 cents.

It kind of sounds like Battlefield isn't the game for you. Those are all big pillars of what make Battlefield.. Battlefield. Usually there's 1 or 2 maps that are pretty CQB but the majority are what you don't want.
It will be interesting to see how the new maps are set up with the 'clusters' of control points - makes me think that they will cater to both play styles. Some clusters will provide for CQB while the no mans land in between will be more for vehicle and long distance combat. If I were you I would pay attention to that info in the coming months.

These games were never about realism. Sure there are elements of it but if it were completely realistic it wouldn't appeal to the masses because the systems would be too 'slow'. If it was a milsim do you really think they would have added a rendezook to the trailer?

I've played many versions of BF over the years. Thanks, but I'll be fine. Also, I do enjoy CoD's small maps, for example, but there's too much quick-scope sniper nonsense on there, now, so I hope BF will be a nice change of pace.
- 4 years ago@ChugKendall when did you last use a sniper rifle with a sniper scope?
@DingoKillrI fail to see how my last date of sniper rifle activity has anything to do with not being able to run around a field with one, quick-scoping people, like the shenanigans in CoD. Do you have some information to refute my statement?
- 4 years ago@ChugKendall Well if you never use or have not used since BF4 you are missing lots of changes. I don't care what happens in COD, BF gun play is different.
I have lots of information.
You can not quick scope with a sniper in BF1 or BFV. There is spread added you need to pause before firing and BA have a slower ADS speed. Means every other weapon class can hip fire or ADS quicker than BA.
Even with Iron Sights BA are still slower.
BF3 was the pinnacle of quick scoping for BA. Even BF4 has slower ADS. - 4 years ago
@DingoKillr I understand, but I think we were talking about two different things. There were comments about small maps, and also about how quick-scoping has ruined CoD. I was just combining the two issues for a post.
- 4 years ago@ChugKendall Yes, but quick scope of Sniper rifles (ghetto shotguns) on small maps has not been viable since BF4. It is why lots of threads in BF1/V about the lack of close range weapons for Recon.

CoD MW has a sniper infestation, they quick scope while taking rounds...they will purposly take rounds beause they can 1 shot kill...its entirely rediculous. I just hope they dont cater to the the sniper trollls whose sole purpoee is to ruin other peoples experiences by not even trying to play the objectives. They are just gamings versions of trolls.

- 4 years ago@DDouble_Tap02 Completely agree with your gaming trolls comment, as far as quick-scoping snipers in CoD is concerned. I don't even play it anymore, unless it's Outbreak (solo), and I am seriously considering not purchasing the next CoD. After all this time, they still let the nonsense continue, so I may just use that cash on something else.

so I read the first post, it says US snipers have an outgoing personality. Translation: discrimination vs introverted people who actually think and not just follow orders because superiors said so :P
Extroverted person and being alone are completely destructive for an 'outgoing' person. In a group = stable, without one = lost and mentally destroyed.
Introverted, infamous, lone wolf, mentally drained, explosive in group situations, fun, cold in few familiar people situations. Mentally great alone or small known groups. Not really trusting outsiders :P suspicious :P Stone - cold face on the outside 🙂
As an introverted person between INTJ/INTP, I can tell with great confidence that US is thankfully not choosing the best and brightest - I guess they dont like the idea of their snipers going rogue :P especially when ordered to do morally abhorrent things, like murdering civilians. They opt for the type of person that can be brainwashed - kept on a leash by means of manipulation, shaming and such. As an introvert like myself, it is so hard / near impossible to do, especially when reaching certain age. Introverted people tend to have a sort of a moral code in them more likely than not that makes it impossible to do or hide bad things that their morally talking, yet immorally doing superiors tend to demand. The other side is that people like myself are not accepted by extroverted society, for which the surface of things, not its core are more important, ie superficiality.
