@tomaisbored The Recon class is the way to go, if you want to snipe,
the class buff benefits sniper rifles and the sidearm.

You sidearm is, what helps you with close range encounters.
G57 and NVK-P125 are a good start, with the burst fire mode and high accuracy.

I am not sure what type of scopes you usually use, but the scope defines you effectiveness in close ranges. The Ghost Hybrid 4x/1.5x is my goto universal scope, with the Shan 2.5x or thermal equivalent as an option. ADS time with the lower magnification scopes is pretty decent.
Ahh, and I don't do the A-D dance when sniping, I go prone, use a bi-pod and I spot my target.
I also stick with one configuration for my sniper rifles most of the time.
I usually have the options for long range engagement in my loadout, like high powered ammo and a long barrel.

Mind I am not the best player, I am also not the best sniper, but this is how I play my recon and can stay on an objective.

      Even the worst sniper (non-sniper) rifle is very good if you hit those headshots:

      The only really bad sniper rifle is the ntw, actually, I wish it was not a one shot kill gun.

        No, sniper is good. You want sniper as bf1, seriously?? In bf1, the game was infested snipers campers, the sniper was too strong, it was snipefield.

        Even in bf2042, sometimes there are many snipers camped and you have a good part of your team who does not play the objectives. So a sniper like bf1, you will kill the game. Or, give us the possibility of making servers with a sniper limit. In bf4 and bf3, the most popular servers were servers with sniper limit
