So, a positive thread.
It needs work, but it's in progress. Overall, I love the game. I'm having more fun on Battlefield than I've had in years. Looking forward to the grind. The only time I post on the forums I'm either...
Glad you're having fun.
When I first heard the rumors that the new BF would borrow heavily from previous games like BF3, I was excited. We just came off the heels of Infinity Ward's successful work with MW2019's gunsmith and a step back to a mature experience so I was pumped that DICE would follow suit by making a BF experience worthy of the name. I return to what made BF unique and expanded on that.
Fast forward..... I was truly heartbroken to see what BF2042 was to be in the reveal. I had zero interest at that point in the game. They made it even more run & gun and doubled down on what I considered more silly / arcade elements, more sci-fi gadgets, "specialists", etc. ....but then Portal was announced and everything changed.
Portal will be the only reason I consider buying BF2042 next week and IMO, it may be worth the full price of the game in itself. Right now I'm monitoring the current issues and resolutions they come up with before the full release next week but I suspect I will be buying the game.

@Kean_1111Can't you just post your negative feedback in one of the many negative threads?
This is a thread for people who like the game.

That was far from my intention as I think Portal makes the game worth buying in and of itself. I also get that others will like the changes DICE has made with the other modes and IMO that's fine because I think there is plenty there for other folks like me to enjoy with the introduction of Portal. I don't see that as a negative reaction to what they done with the game. In fact, it all makes sense to me as I think they've created something that can really help the franchise moving forward. .....and that's a positive IMO. Sorry you misinterpreted it as trying to derail your thread.
