Hi all,
We're reviewing if the T1 requirements for Boris need adjusting. We'll continue monitoring your feedback on the changes to the SG-36 Sentry Gun that went live in Update 0.4.1.

@Straatford87if you wanted to make it less lethal - fine, you did. But then give it more health and maybe decrease cool down so it is not lethal but at least an annoyance and I can put it more often and be more mobile with it.no ty. was getting tired of trying to take objectives and having to deal with 4 or 5 turrets. he was broken and he is almost fixed now

@PsubondIt’s called working with a team…odd concept now lost within the battlefield community.
So you think it should be easy to solo 4 or 5 turrets 😂😂😂 why bother having them in the game then?A ten year old killzone 2 that was littered with flying turrets and stationary ones took teamwork to deal with and nobody cried about it!
- 4 years ago@Psubond if there are 4 turrets then there are 4 or more players. So you won't be soloing it anyway. It takes team effort to set it up so it should take team effort to overcome it.

- Psubond4 years agoLegend@emerson1975 please quote where i said i should be able to solo 4 or 5 turrets
- 4 years ago@Psubond Sure. But at the same time I think with every nerf there should be something to compensate it. Give it more health? Add anything else to Boris T1 requirement and maybe something to his passive perks like better repair tool? My biggest compain not even the turret but T1 being the same. It's like just double the amount of projectiles for Irish T1 for no reason. Or make sentinel shoot only 50% projectiles. It is exaggeration ofc but you get the idea.
- 4 years ago@Psubond Ok let’s put it this way ….if your squad can’t take out 3 or 4 turrets your doing it wrong…. You do realise you have another 63 players that can shoot too!

/shrug idk. say what you want. some think it was a clever tactical tool, others like myself think it was a crutch and was abused. it is what it is. either way they have smacked it with the nerf bat (which IN MY OPINION was the right move)
- UP_Hawxxeye4 years agoLegend
@PsubondIt was a crutch.
But a plain nerf is lazy and bad.
Gadgets with a large degree of automation are in an almost binary state of either too strong or useless. If the problem is the automation, one overhauls something into being more manual.
As it stands right now there is barely better than disabling the gadget like the Dozer's shield

I never understood this 'crutch' argument around gadgets at all.
Surely and gadget/perk/trait call them what you will, beyond your primary weapon that let's you do something other than shoot people with said primary is a 'crutch' in some way.
In what way was the turret a 'crutch'? Even pre nerf it pretty much only killed the pre damaged or stupid.
"But it was a wallhack!"
Compared to Caspers drone, Piak and to a lesser degree, Rao coupled with pokeballs, its spotting abilities were negligible.
It seems to me that a 'crutch' is something that kills a person who doesn't like being killed by said 'gadget' so cries 'crutch'!
I suppose it's why we don't have nice things like Claymores or Mortars anymore..... 😪
- Psubond4 years agoLegend@Trokey66 it was a crutch because it painted the target red and let players hide in bushes and shoot out of them accurately without actually seeing their target. most of the time when i died to a borris player that is how it happened. borris with a pkp hiding in a bush
as for the claymores and mortars, i have no issue with those. claymore is basically an AT mine for people - 4 years ago@Psubond Ok then let’s stop people abusing flying by sundance or maybe palik spotting!
I would bet my house you play as sundance “the most overpowered character in the game by miles” - 4 years ago@Psubond Yea lol the specialist was doing his job lol shock horror!
Maybe you should give it a whirl. - Psubond4 years agoLegend

I would bet my house you play as sundance “the most overpowered character in the game by miles”nope. i played sundance once so i could do the achievement for flying from the building to the launch pad and then tried her a couple times after that for one life each time then moved on. not a fan of sundance. i have maybe 10 min on paik. tried it, didn't like it. i usually play angel, rao, irish or casper with the rare occasion i pick mckay so i can get to someone who is being annoying and hiding on a structure

Maybe you should give it a whirl.tried him, didn't like him. did T1 on him during zombies cause i knew that's they only way i would be able to stomach playing that specialist long enough to get T1. will never select him again unless i need to cheese a "repair" weekly challenge
- UP_Hawxxeye4 years agoLegend@Trokey66 I think the turret could only be different in how it stacks more than other effects.
If enough people put 4+ turrets to guard an indoor M-com like the one in the last sector in Rush Orbital, it can be an significant artificial inflation of the number of guns on the defending team that is quite hard to deal with.
Me and my party would always use the turrets for that M-com and we have been almost always winning even against the odds. - Trokey664 years agoSeasoned Ace@UP_Hawxxeye I'll be honest and don't recall that situation however, EMP grenades?
- UP_Hawxxeye4 years agoLegend
@Trokey66
The Sundance variety of EMP grenades might do something for just a few of them. But in a closed space it is rather hard to get enough of them ( I mean they will not be stacked on exactly the same spot and you have to both locate them and disable them while also being targeted by other turrets and their masters). It would take even more teamwork to organize and multiple EMP raid than the other side did to put several turrets.
I am not sure about the regular EMP grenades because for a long time those would blow up in my face right after throwing. - 4 years ago
As an option add enemies spotted or assisted with the turret. Fine if you dice wants the turret be a nerf gun. I can live with that. I'm more bummed about T1 still be dependent on that nerf gun. With it they prolonged mastery. I don't say I want it to be doable in few rounds but right now I don't even feel I'm having any progress at all.
- Anobix4 years agoSeasoned Ace@LlamaWithKatana Yep 100%. I don't understand why a lot of the masteries aren't related to that stuff. Rao could be getting assists/etc after hacking someone... but no.
- 4 years ago@Anobix Rao is easy with pockeballs and soflam. Exactly the opposite example. For some numbers should be adjusted if it is impossible to change the requirements to make it even over different specialists.
- UP_Hawxxeye4 years agoLegend
@LlamaWithKatanayeah, Rao is by far the easiest specialist to T1 of all of them.
On the far opposite of that is Irish whose mastery depends exclusively on the enemy using rockets and grenades within the radius of his secondary gadget which is also inconsistent and will not always stop a rocket before the rocket makes impact. - Anobix4 years agoSeasoned Ace

- 4 years ago@UP_Hawxxeye Yeah. But at the end I even start to enjoy him. Would be cool if it would destroy C5 and drones as well. But even Irish didn't took me as long as Boris RN.
