So few weapons must be an issue
Only two LMG guns and 3 shot guns? Is this for serious or an issue? Maybe I have not unlocked something?

I think they should port weapons from BC2 and BF3 Portal into the main game. Just take your time to balance them properly, make them work with current attachment system and release them in a weapon crate patch, similar to BF4.
Its the only viable option to release alteast some content to fix a burning disaster that we have right now.
You all forget one big advantage of so few weapons:
They will run out of Whiteout skins fast for the weekly sessions, so you'll get soon a different skin for the whole set :-)
