I have 262 hours in this game and I can't even recall seeing a single bot.Today I've seen them filling up the matches I are in, there's like 10-15 of them. It makes the game really uneven for some reason and one side wins with a lot of tickets left.Has something changed recently? It really makes the rounds boring.

@Karen0202 I think a lot of players would be ok with crossplay if it wasn’t such a caca-show. I bet there will always be a group who won’t, but the majority would if it was done well; where it was a fair balance and network compensations were reasonable, etc. What we have now is a miserable gaming experience. My whole hope with all these posts is we can show the devs what we want from a game and maybe get enough of it in the next one that we can play.

@Ice_ I’ve been seeing more PC players with crossplay off, so maybe it’s a trend across the board. The game actually plays more like a real Battlefield with crossplay off, I highly recommend it for both groups of players.

@SnubbyFighter I don't know...Social media is not representative of society—Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, Instagram are full of neurotic individuals. By (almost) the same token, only the faithful post here on this '2042' community forum. I don't think we represent the casual players: I doubt they would go to search for and then read the game's patch notes...The casual player, IMO, picked up a copy of '2042' to try it out and then somehow got disappointed and dropped it.(I bought 'God of War' due to the hype and hardly play it anymore as something did not quite click, and somewhere there will be a forum of individuals dedicated to it.)

@TheseusJason I can pretty much tell exactly what happened. Season 6 kicked off with the free to play week and sale which skyrocketed the game's exposure because suddenly people realized the game is actually fun and has been vastly improved since the disaster it launched as. People were talking about it and telling their friends, getting into the game together, etc. The theme of season 6 is also broadly appealing and interesting, the cosmetics are cool, the new map is cool, to the point that the whole game just became a Redacted simulator for myself and many others if I'm being honest. Redacted is the best thing that has come out for this game in years.Then what happened? .... they removed Redacted for an entire week+. I'd assume they have some kind of metrics somewhere telling them what is and isn't popular in their game, but instead of listening to that and giving players more of what they wanted in this massive spike of activity, they continued to do the same stuff that people have been complaining about for years. Instead of DICE taking advantage of this MIRACULOUS opportunity that was handed to them, they fumbled it, as always. That was the disappointment.So now we're halved on player count from 100k down to ~sub 40k peaks on some days, which is still dramatically higher than the previous peaks, but the downward trend continues without letting up.

@Ice_ according to Steam stats player numbers have dropped considerably again. They reached a peak due to favorable circumstances (launch of season + free play + Gamepass + etc) and now we're back to steady-state conditions and seemingly people are not sticking around for some reason or another.

I've not really had problems even when the player population was lower earlier. I just comes as a surprise now.
I wish that when people are waiting for people to join, let the server wait a bit longer.
It's filling up pretty fast but it auto launches the round when near 60-80 players out of 128 which I believe makes the server less attractive to auto queue joins because considering how fast it fills up during the waiting stage, the server should have been full pretty quickly while running. 🤔

At least in the US, it's Thanksgiving week and a lot of people are either traveling or (like me) forced to talk to family rather than play.

@TheseusJason Just a couple thousand less than the last week or so. I'm guessing the patch in Dec announcement didn't really instill hope.

I only get bots in solo matches/ everyone is AI, great way to rank up your weapons with easy 100+ kills, otherwise I dont see any names in any lobby with AI next to them/ on EU servers
