@infantrypeasant First it "helps" to have an EA Playtesting Community profile. If you don't have one, or you didn't update it for years, that might explain why you weren't considered for an invite.
When you know what bftracks and AllSeeingEye was (I had to google it), and maybe played BF1942 for 200 hours and that was your last Battlefield experience, you may qualify as a veteran, but that may not necessarily make you the kind of tester EA/DICE might be interested in.
Maybe they were looking for veterans that played a Battlefield or Star Wars Battlefront during the past years.

@kregora Yeah I have a profile but again, I'm not really considered about personally getting an invite.
Mostly I wonder who gets invited (and why!) and how good the quality of the feedback is. If only 'new' players get invited that maybe barely have any BF experience, it just makes it so much clear why some choices are made.
@Straatford87 can you maybe provide some insight on this?

@infantrypeasantMaybe you want to check the FAQ in this area:
https://answers.ea.com/t5/EA-Community-Playtesting/ct-p/ea-playtesting-en
And then check if your testing account may match the criteria.- 4 years ago@kregora Yeah that completely confirms my thoughts. People aren't picked based on their veteran status. Why this misinformation is so widespread, really makes me wonder what else isn't true.

- carsono3114 years agoSeasoned Ace@infantrypeasant It is not strictly "veterans" that get in and this is purposeful. If it was strictly old veterans like me, the game would inevitably stagnate. There has to be new blood mixed in to keep things moving and provide new perspective(s).
With that said, you will also get a mixed bag of who takes the inherent responsibilities seriously or not, regardless of their "status". I always hope that more people will focus on the purposes of the testing and find and report bugs as they come across them and that is probably the primary reason I stay on these forums so much. However, I think it is obvious that not everyone does that...
