@infantrypeasantTo do it right, the developers should have a good mix of vets, casual players, pros, streamers, columnists and newbies, so they can see how they all interact. Having that good mix would help to make sure the newbs can make sense of the game; the pros get good maps and features; casual players have modes they too can enjoy; streamers and columnists can write about the game and hype it up; and they all help to test server load and uncover glitches.

@milkydeathgrind So even after putting emphasis multiple times on the fact that I'm simply worried about feedback (with a good reason, look at for example BF4 and BF1 game launches, they were quite awful), how exactly do you still conclude that I only wanted an invite? I don't even have time to play the game right now.
Did you just only read the OP, or what?
All I'm worried about is: will the game turn out well, and who exactly do 'we' (DICE) call a veteran nowadays, and why.
- milkydeathgrind5 years agoSeasoned Newcomer@infantrypeasant Based on what you are saying it really sounds like you are blaming people who participated in technical test four previous games for the reasoning behind then having Rocky launches. This whole thing is ridiculous anyway and I don't know why you are so concerned with this whole thing unless you truly believe that people who got to play in the technical play test will be responsible for making or breaking the game
- 5 years ago@milkydeathgrind I am definitely worried that the audience that's testing the games is not suitable for testing and doesn't provide good enough feedback. 100%.
