@Chief2GFD We all saw how "don't like it, don't buy it" turned out for BF5, and looking at Steam player numbers do we really want a repeat of this or do we want the Community to provide feedback to DICE on how to make the game what we want to play and support and have the game turn around like BF4 instead of having support cut off early like BF5? I vote for DICE turning the game around instead of having 2042 commit seppuku in some last act of defiance.
Regarding your "nobody cares" point you are categorically wrong here and that mindset actually hinders fixing 2042. Part of the Moderation Staff and Community Managers' roles is to send Community sentiment reports and escalate important community issues from this forum to DICE so they can take appropriate action to fix or correct them. The forum's explicit purpose is to facilitate community interaction and discussion, not just making positive threads about how the game is awesome. You mentioned BF4, and the entire reason BF4 was fixed was because the community spoke up on the forums, and then DICE created the CTE so the Community could help troubleshoot BF4 so saying "nobody cares" and then referencing BF4 is a contradictory position.
- @ragnarok013 Exactly what is needed again for this game is to have CTE back, so the community as a whole can help DICE and the devs make this game what it can be. Yes there is lots of fixes to be had and needs a few good patches not band aid patches.
For me it is VOIP (for the randoms), squad control, server browser, cross play fix (can not play with cross play off (sitting in server waiting for players)), when cross play on to laggy to play feels like I am playing in europe or asia not in northern North America.
Game feels like it is made for console and ported to PC. @ragnarok013 I think you are not getting the point of my "nobody cares" comment. I didn't mean that the community doesn't care about the game and want to see it fixed, and it didn't mean that DICE/EA doesn't care or want to fix the game. It meant that if somebody doesn't like the game, hates it so much, that they aren't going to ever play the game again, so be it, nobody cares. There is no reason to come on here and tell everyone, nobody cares. Just walk away and play something else.
I agree with you on the purpose of these forums. But in my opinion there is a correct way to go about presenting our concerns with the game and all the toxicity/hate towards the devs and trashing them is not the way to go about it.
