I fully agree, it's hilarious when joining this game to get close to the many choke points and see players sat next to an ammo crate just spamming nades. It's also kind of pointless too, not to mention completely BORING.
I usually end up leaving those matches, what's the point ?

"Lately I’ve seen many rounds on Redacted Conquest end in total grenade spam.
Would it be an idea to increase the time it takes before one can resupply gadgets from ammo crates - but on Redacted only, not in general, where it’s less of a problem."
No. Where there is a problem, there is always a solution. We do have specialists for a reason, Hence Irish Sentinal!
@VoltixdarkExactly! This is not a map issue, but rather a player mentality issue. The current playerbase consists of too many players that don't play strategically, let alone as a team!
Grenade spam is the consequence of how the majority of the server choses to play. Keep running into the same chokepoint doing exactly what they did before they died last time. All without considering changing specialists/loadouts or taking a completely different route at all.- Man_iLoveFishing2 years agoSeasoned Ace
Sounds like normal operation metro to me. 🤷♂️😂

I don't think spam is the problem, or at least that it's unique to Redacted. Any mode that gets people all bunched up into choke points has the same problem since forever in BF, including 2042.
I don't like things being different for different maps personally. It's not the worst idea, but I think there's better solutions. The biggest issue is the map design. While I love Redacted, after people have learned the map inside and out, everyone gathers at the same choke points and then just spams the hell out of it. We need more infantry maps, and they need to be a little bigger, more lanes, or maybe less rigidly defined ones at the very least.
I just reinstalled BFV, and the biggest difference I noticed was that maps are very similar in size to BF2042, but there's less players. This really gives more room to breath.
- kregora2 years agoSeasoned Ace@VOLBANKER_PC I wonder if the old systems wouldn't work better where you had to stay close to a ammo crate to refill your gadgets and grenades. So not a global cool down, and then you get everything immediately, when you just pass an ammo crate.

Its the normal but I just spray like crazy when they run out to toss them
- Col_Larsen2 years agoNew Ace@VOLBANKER_PC Hi - often you get on a team where they have no knowledge about Irish and his sentinel - and then it is nade hell for you. Or other team drops emp nade first - destroying the sentinel and then they come with all the exploding nades after.
Redacted have many other ways - so dont always go for front entrace - use basement tunnels / zipwires. You can use protection plate / spotting nades as alternative to explode nades.
I dont like all those rules - next could be limit number of players playing sundance because of her scatter grenades. Best team wins - and there are ways to counter those nades.
But frustrating if you get onto a clueless team ! Solution is called Irish 😉 already existing, funny no ? @VOLBANKER_PC
