Just want to confirm that 42 will have local servers? Probably an unnecessary question since BF is practically a religion down here.
Just worried because of EA rumbling about shutting down BFV servers here before covid struck (ended up not happening.)
I REALLY don't want beg Tom Henderson for this info so if any of you EA guys can confirm that'd be grand, cheers!
I think it'll be similar to the regions we had in BF4, BF1 and BFV available.
Africa region was included which would be the closest one then, but no South Africa specifically.
But if there will be any more different regions for BF2042 then we'll probably see it when it's released or any more details regarding this will be shared officially.

At the end tho, we never know if anything will change in supported region servers for games that ain't out yet. But on the recent titles i just checked and there was African region also available in server Browser.
Ao i also hope that they keep the support going as we're all used to it. 🙂

Well, we'll see that. 👿 i'm also excited how it all plays together when it comes to Cross-play.
Btw, maybe already in the open Beta soonTM you can see something regarding supported server regions. So keep an eye open for that. 😉

Don't think we ever had BF servers in Africa for aka the console players?
And as @Its_Travis_199 points out, that is a problem for the gameplay experience, as even the nearest servers in Europe still at best results in a latency of around 180ms in average for the South Africa based players...

@CyberDymeWe had Africa/South Africa console specific servers since BF1 my guy...
It's a bit different this time around because of Crossplay variants, but yeah local servers are nothing new.
