Spawn points
Objective spawn points are absolutely broken at the moment. There's absolutely no chance to spawn on an objective to defend it, because there will be 5 enemies looking at you, because the game decid...
Absolutely agree
Just played renewal US team and even when we held objective D1 and D2, when I spawned on them, I'd be put on the North East Side of the building. Directly in front of opposing base where there are 2/3 enemy vehicles ready to bust me up miles away from cover

Can you all be specific on what map, mode, and objective you see trouble spawning without being immediately shot? We'll relay it to the team. We need specifics on stuff like this though so the team knows what spawns to look at.
Thanks,
agree the y need random scatter spawns , not area spawn where if you put guys on 3 sides they always spawn into crossfire
@EA_BlueberryNortheast/southeast corners of the D1/D2 nodes (in the building complex) on renewal, to be specific the grassy area northeast between the building and field and the parking lot/border of the farmland area southeast.
Happens in both AOW game modes, if the building is contested and you respawn on either point, you'll generally end up spawning in one of those two relatively close zones and parking a vehicle or some infantry at either side is a good way to make sure nobody can reinforce the points via respawns. (NE is safer due to the south side of the building being open and you can lob anti-armor at things without needing to get exposed on the roof).
So far that's one that's really stood out, especially in breakthrough due to the troop concentration in a small area.
Edit: as for maps which spawn you in the open and leave no cover that's a whole other list, if it's actually wanted i'm sure we can note spots and report them as well.
I’ve spawned in front of a moving enemies tank and was ran over before I could even reacts i just laugh to myself when it happens.
Hourglass A1-A3, B and D are really bad. A2 and A3 in the stadium are brutal. Half the time I spawn in the open on the inside and I am immediately killed. There are multiple levels, so I don't know why the spawns can't be inside on a different level there.
All the maps with open objectives have terrible spawn points. If you can't move spawn points, at least give an extra second of immunity so you have fighting chance.
@EA_Blueberry
Quite frankly it’s too many to mention. A complete review of all spawn points for all objectives needs to be done. If a spawn point is in the open, find a better location that has cover. I’m sure this will be quite difficult considering the fact that most objectives in 2042 lack proper cover.
Most respawn locations are too few, too predictable and extremely easy to camp.
Some of the worst.
- Renewal/Conquest 128. Objective D1 and D2. Spawns objective defenders in an open fields on both sides of the lab building in full view of the nearby enemy spawn. It’s literally open fields all around the objective. Often times players will just park a tank out in the field and farm defenders as the defenders spawn into wide open, flat grassy terrain.
- Objective’s A1, C1, D1, B1, E1 and E3 Hourglass. All spawn points lack overhead cover from enemy air. All points usually spawn the player into flat open desert. Again, because there are no bomb craters, no trenches or no sand bag emplacements, no cover, it will be difficult to find decent spawn points because the entire game lacks proper terrain and cover for infantry.
@EA_BlueberryThis is my observation for Breakthru:
The worst map since Thursday is Renewal > when I thinking about the first two points, I get flashbacks to BF3/B4, it comes close to a lockdown in your own spawn.
The defenders can get way to close to your main spawn and if there is a little unbalance you are not able to get out and capture both points.
This layout is ridiculous.
Also, on every map I played since Thursday I have observed the same Issues as OP.
If you have an own point that will captured by the enemy and you spawn on it, there is a very high chance (60%-70%) that you standing direct in front of enemies or in the open as a living target for everyone.
other maps and objectives with poor cover and poor spawn points
128 player Conquest
- Discarded B1, A1, E1. Again we are often spawned
in predictable locations in wide in open ground either on the flag in clear view of multiple enemies or in the middle of a road in clear view of multiple enemies. That’s with the objective being both uncontested and contested. Part of the problem is the fact that there’s little good cover inside the capture zones but great cover all around the capote zone. It’s literally like shooting fish in a barrel for defenders of these objectives.
- Kaleidoscope D1, E1, E2, B1 and B2. Open fields all around the objective. Spawn points spawn us in clear view of multiple enemies.
- Hourglass A2 and A3(Sports Stadium) defending players are spawned in the “play field” of the stadium and are easily farmed by vehicles or enemy infantry that sit and wait to camp these predictable spawn points.
Note that there is ZERO overhead cover on most of the spawn points and objectives mentioned above so infantry are always easy prey for helicopters.
Thanks for this Adamonic....
"D1 for Orbital, you spawn in the open field to the North instead of behind cover to the east or west, depending on who owns it."
After reading the request for more specific information I was going to chime in with this little gem that has literally been in the game since BEFORE it was released.
This spawn point out in the middle of a field with no cover for at least 80 metres was present in the first open beta test.....and it's still there.
Perhaps the devs should be asking their QA testers?
You know them......the guys they should be paying to play the game and provide this sort of information rather than relying on their consumers who paid for the game.
Breakthough spawns are pretty bad because you don't have any option of spawning somewhere else. Like when you are defending and respawn only to have to try to run across open ground to reach the stupidly small amount of cover that actually surrounds the objective point. More cover BEHIND and on the points is needed in Breakthrough to allow defenders to traverse to the point.
Conquest spawns are less restrictive but there are still some pretty bad ones in play.
- D1 , Orbital, Conquest 128 (good luck finding a 128 player match) is a prime example.
