@kregoraGood question. I don't remember ever seeing a prompt to throw back grenades in 2042 myself but I'm not sure if I've just missed it.
You can deffo interact with spot balls and they then work for you for a bit, haven't tried with Grenades yet.
So not being able to spawn on squad vehicles at the start of round could be a console bug?
Interesting.....
Wonder if anyone has raised a bug report.

@Trokey66 wait what ? how can you do that ? Only on PC as well or you can do it on console ? I've never seen any prompt for throwing back grenades on console. Same for pokeballs, and I was already quite close to it while trying to shoot it (which didn't work as well).
- kregora4 years agoSeasoned Ace@xXGugusseXx Shooting enemy pokeballs destroys them - maybe. Maybe they just bounce away.
To interact with throwables I'd assume you use the same button to interact with the loadout crate, open doors, enter/leave a vehicle(?) - Trokey664 years agoSeasoned Ace
@xXGugusseXxIf you approach a pokeball (on PS5), when close enough you will get a prompt to press square to interact.
You have to be close mind, and almost looking directly at it.
I haven't tried with grenades as I am usually trying to run the other way!Not sure what my settings are so if I remember to, I will check and get back. I don't think I have quick throw selected.
- ElliotLH4 years agoHero+@Trokey66 Meant to let you know that I was testing interacting with grenades yesterday and it does work in the same way as the pokeballs. Like you said, you need to be very close but the interaction prompt was coming up for me.

In BFV......
During the Beta....

It wasn't fun after all!
- 4 years ago@kregora and @Trokey66 : you're right at least for the pokeballs. But you need to be VERY close to it and have the pokeball exactly in the center of your screen to show the prompt. If it's working in the same way for grenade throwback, I guess it's almost impossible to use. BFV throwback was a lot easier, grenade just needed to be in a certain radius to show the prompt, no need to exactly aim to it.
- kregora4 years agoSeasoned Ace@xXGugusseXx I didn't say it is fun to do, and the instinct to run a way from grenades is mostly the right decision.
But it is possible. Scatter grenades are a bigger challenge to get rid of all of the explosives, but when only one scatter is close to you, it could save you life, for a couple more seconds.
