No spectator mode, no factions no goddamn nothing. Only run and gun without team/squad even knowing what "class" you are. How to teamwork right now in 2042? Tell me please. And none of bf titles so far played had THAT huge amount of bugs.
EDIT: Not to mention, there is even no reason to play objective. Example, V had squad call ins, that was great motivator.
EDIT2: Btw, by the fixing bfv, i tbh really don't remember that many technical glitches, more like weapons balance issues and ttk.

My man, no one is refusing nothing. But me, as a BF player, I don't need someone to tell me how how good or how bad the game is, I'm playing the game to form my own opinion about it. I don't need the press, marketing materials, Steam reviews, redditors, YouTube content creators to tell me how the game is when I can find that by myself.
Anyway, delayed content, who's damn fault is it? Community????? "Legacy" stuff should have been there in the first place. inb4 "No, i don't need them", good if you don't, there are many that DEMANDs.
As I've previously stated, now the devs switched their focus on legacy features to be added into this game as the vocal part of community demanded - yes, if the season 1 content will be delayed, the community is to be blamed here. Again, the legacy features are not part of the core mechanics of this game - I can play without a freaking KDA scoreboard, I can play without an integrated VoIP feature which I never used in this franchise.

I don't consider the game (BF5) was 'fixed', on the contrary it became more noob friendly / casual because of the community. Read the entire attrition mechanic debacle - the community hated it and wanted a more run & gun approach of the game with infinite hp regen and and lots of ammo - I hated this decision.
Again, DICE derailed from their original vision of the game to please the community and that game in its final version wasn't even played by the vocal part of the community - that's why it was abandoned prematurely.
I wanted to play operations from any other countries that have been part of WW2 history, like the Battle of Shanghai in China, or the battle of Leyte or Manila in the Philippines - but again, the community wanted the same & very well-known operations which were presented through all WW2 games & movies in the last 3 decades aka Pacific or Eastern Front operations.
Wait what? No campaing, full concertation on multiplayer, what happened? Again, these are simply not false hates, sure some % might be hyped hate, but sorry, no...
The new wave of BF players don't even know that BF in its roots was and still is MP only game. I don't want to start a discussion about how much time, effort and resources are involved into the design and implementation of a SP part into a game - imagine that for a 4 hour campaign they could create 3-4 new MP maps, add 5-6 new specialist and bring back legacy features - all at the same effort & costs.
And let me show you how many BF players are interested and played the campaign in the last two titles.
BF1
BF5
Marketing trailers showed whole different atmosphere/mood.
I don't want to offend you, but if you're believing all these marketing materials, press or corporate statements you are naive. The release trailer is a directed movie to please a wider audience like press / non-gamers and to create hype around this title. I don't buy it.
This is how the marketing works my dude - don't you ever fall into this trap, play the beta/demo before any purchase and what's most important - vote with your wallet.
I assure you, if one of these lines made to trailers, ugh... Good that you didn't observe, i did right away. I even wrote about it on the first day, it's a redflag in bf title.
I'm pretty sure that these end of the round voice lines will be customizable per each specialist like in other titles and more will come further down the road. I don't mind them because I don't care about their existence or not.
No spectator mode, no factions no goddamn nothing.
I would like the spectator mode to return sometime during its lifecycle, but now I want something more than that -> Season 1 content to drop - because that's what I've paid in advance.
Only run and gun without team/squad even knowing what "class" you are. How to teamwork right now in 2042? Tell me please.
I can easily distinguish what specialist I'm fighting against and I'm not trying to counter their loadout as per the old class system. I'm always playing at my advantages like if I'm running with a SMG - I'm lowering the engagement distance as much as possible and not trying to snipe (with an SMG) a specialist with a SVK or SWS for example.
If I'm using an LMG, I always try to keep out of CQB engagements as much as possible and try to engage fights in medium to large distances.
And none of bf titles so far played had THAT huge amount of bugs.
At this category no other title can dethrone BF4. BF4 was a pain to play in the first 6 months after the release. I really enjoyed it at that time - that's, of course, when it worked and when I could connect to a server and not getting a random crash during the game.
Not to mention, there is even no reason to play objective. Example, V had squad call ins, that was great motivator.
Well, once you're joining a server in Conquest or Breakthrough mode you know what to do and how are these modes are going to be played / what's the main objective to get a win result at the end of the round. BF5's squad call-ins were a method to incline the end of the round balance or to secure the win results even further. It was a nice addition to the game like how the Behemoths were for BF1. Some of the community loved them, some of them not. A lot of people used BF5's squad call-ins just to boost their KDAs though.
Btw, by the fixing bfv, i tbh really don't remember that many technical glitches, more like weapons balance issues and ttk.
They were present like in all BF releases - there was a ton of rubber banding & hit reg issues, scopes were not aligned with the crosshair, weird vehicle physics, spawns outside of the map area etc.
Even the press laugh of these bugs and glitches. There were a lot of memes back then:
Have a good day.
@VME23
Yeah back then Glitches were " funny " now that its in 2042 glitches are the proofs that its the " worst battlefield ever " The irony !
