@CyberDymeWould these stats be all that useful in regard to Battlefield? I've never played Halo but the few CoD's I tried had small heavily segmented maps. Even the longest distance in terms of player engagement would barely count as medium range in BF.
In terms of gathering data would 'Battlefield Tracker' be useful? They used to record individual weapon accuracy with each gun across all major platforms.
Hi @BFB-Praetorian ,
We cannot use this data from other games to compare or make anything meaningful out of it for the BF2042. But the methodologies and the findings for BF2042 would follow the same principles, but it all would and should rely on gaming data entirely collected from the BF2042 game only.
If we had things around today for BF2042 as BattleTracker or BattleLog, then that would be extremely helpful indeed. And essentially we would not have these ongoing heated arguments between the different game platform players now playing together in cross-play, as having the performance numbers tracked officially would put most claims to rest.
I would without having to ask anybody here online be able to pull out BattleLog game records from aka 1,000 games on the Discarded map in All-Out-Warfare mode. And then be able to tell with certainty things like:
- How many players are playing in average in crossplay from each platform?
- What is the hit accuracy in average for players on each platform?
- What is in average the number of kills for players across the 3 platforms and what is the distribution of kills by platform (aka. how many standard deviations to cover 90% of all)?
- How many kills are done with what land- or air-vehicles on that map versus infantry, and what % of these are done by players on which platform?
- What is the XP level and spread of this of the players attending across the 3 platforms?
- Are players from any platform dominating in terms of overly represented in the top-10 players in total kills for any game round?
- Are players from any platform more victims in terms of overly represented in the top-10 players in total death for any game round?
- Is number of kills the most contributing factor for high XP scores in this game or are the incentives sufficiently high, so also team- and squad collaboration is encouraged by sufficiently high XP bonus points?
- What specialists are in average scoring the highest and lowest XPs in this game and compared across the platforms?
- Which weapons are in average scoring the highest number of kills in this game and compared across the platforms?
- Which air- and land-vehicles are in average scoring the highest number of kills in this game and compared across the platforms?
- Etc etc etc...
Essentially many questions/disputes we have today would be able to be settled by hard objective facts instead of current conspiracy theories or indeed well-meant gut feelings.
