Spotting when dead (or nearly dead)

Ok, you have just been shot and are lying there bleeding out. After a few seconds you can move around and see the enemies that are around you.

Does this show as 'spotted' to the other players on your team ???

I do this a lot, but have no idea if it is of any help to the team.....!!!

  • @b0gart-555 I’m pretty sure it works the same as when you have not been downed. When you spot enemies it shows their location only to your squad mates, not the entire team.

Yeah me too I spot all the time when dying, I feel as if it's a way of getting some revenge. 😬

@RayD_O1Plus you need to let the teammates know where the,guy is lest they, get shot too.
Yep exactly, it is definitely worthwhile imho.👍
  • I always wondered the same, does it really show for anyone else?   Not in theory, in actuality.

Also, I don't know if this is standard but when I am downed in game there is a small delay before the game allows me to spot.   So count to at least 10 if a squad mate is downed before rushing right over to heal him.   There could be enemy in the area that they cannot yet spot.

Might be wrong but I think it just spots for the squad.

  • This is one the the most lame features I’ve ever seen in a game. Shooter games now just over power giving away locations to the point where any stealth is now eliminated. And it’s sucks the fun out of the game. I’m 45 years old and I have watched ea and activision add the worst features to shooter games over the years. I believe this takes the cake on the battlefield games. What’s the point even for a freaking suppressor. If you kill them with it to stay off the minimap they will just spot your position. So there is no stealth in this game at all.

I overall agree, although maybe it's used for balancing versus people that are playing over VOIP in a squad and can call out the same way?

@Anobix Technically you’re not spotting while dead, just while mortally wounded hoping for a revive.

@digitaldelimma You're a young un'! I'm pushing 53. But yes, totally agree with you. I recall many years ago, playing on a small map, Germans against British, with nothing more than pistls, grenades and bolt action rifles, and it was great crack. Now, some idiot can stand in spawn with a LIS rocket, and take out a recon jeep he didn't even know was there, as it travels to a capture point 450 yards away.
I also raised the point (although no-one seemed to pick up on it) that the new character Blasco has anti-spot, and even a machine to set out to protect others in the vicinity from being spotted. But WHAT IS THE POINT if the person you've just shot, whilst downed, can mark the area from which they were shot??? To my mind, if Blasco has got anti-spot, then she needs to be removed from the kill-cam as well, so that her precise location can't be targeted.
