@Skill4ReelPortal servers are only active when the host is playing. Another great idea brought to you by Dice. Next time its on just Follow the Host then you can just look in the followed section to see what is active.
It's almost as if they only have room for 4 game types on the AoW screen. Conquest, conquest, conquest, breakthrough.
My theory is Dice can't have permanent or too many Official Portal game modes as that would take players from the AOW MM system, and made it ever more difficult to fulfill their contractual obligations to season pass holders.
Dice is stuck in a catch-22 situation...give the players what they want in portal and increase online players counts, or continue to focus on AOW MM system due to obligations and continue to lose player counts. The fact that even the small map 16x16 TDM Official Portal server can't be permanent tells me Dice is desperate for players to fill AOW MM system.
Also why Dice won't allow dedicated rental servers, as who would play Official AOW with a wonky MM system when they could instead play Squid G's Chaos and consistently have fun. Remember, the contractual obligations come first. Season Pass holders, like myself, are holding Dice back from making this game better...so at this point I'll wave your contractual obligations, just give the masses what they want Dice...🤔
@DeepSixxxxyeah I guess, but they always have 4x AOW modes, HZ, and 3 featured modes? That is basically 8 official modes + custom Portal Servers. So why not reduce the featured modes and keep the 8 options but do it like this:
Why not just have the following then:
1. C128
2. C64 (rotate with Exodus/Zero Hour)
3. BT (rotate with Zero Hour)
4. Rush (rotate with Squid G's)
5. TDM
6. HZ
7. Weekly Featured Mode 1
8. Weekly Featured Mode 2
@EA_Atic if we can't get a setup like the above, can we at least get Squid G's Chaos back every other week?
