Its not that im against your post, but how about we train a bit? Sounds like after 5 hours you came up with conclusion.
- VOLBANKER_PC2 years agoSeasoned Ace@Man_iLoveFishing Spoken like a true pilot who wouldn’t want to see it buffed, eh 😃

@VOLBANKER_PCHes got a point though. We all suffered with Liz when she got overbuffed to high heavens and then nerfed twice to bring her unstoppable missiles back into order.
Let people unlock it and play around for a month, then we see how it goes. Personally I haven't even seen people use it that much.

I am also comparing it to its BF4 version.
This BF2042 version has a significantly larger delay before the missile starts traveling normally after it leaves the launcher, it seems to fire like a javelin without being a javelin.
The SRAW of BF4 was already a worse than the Liz TGS missile without the Javeling-like delay and the slow reload time of the BF2042 version.
Edit: I checked some videos about it and as someone pointed out at their video, the SRAW's FoV is way too small for the quick adjustments one needs to do when guiding it towards anything that moves remotely fast.
The SRAW will take out a nightbird in one hit if it manages to hit it. But I believe that if a helicopter pilot manages to get hit by a SRAW then they have been hovering exactly at the same spot for too long or have been flying in an almost straight line towards you.
The Lis missile's power came mostly from too many people using it near the launch when she was brand new. Soon after when they got bored of her, she became a lot less used.
After that it got its duration and range buffed to match the range of those huge maps. Then it got some of that ranged nerfed along with its turn radius because they did not wanted the missile of have a chance to hit a second time after missing,
But the Lis missile was better than the SRAW even at its worst.

I suspect the firing delay is to give pilots enough warning by lighting up their HUD like a Christmas tree, so they can duck behind cover. Similar to the Javelin. The lock on time for that thing is so long, it's quicker to run over to the tank and point at it....
From what I've seen of the SRAW, it's controls are even worse than the over-nerfed Lis missile. Faster to turn an oil tanker than steer a Lis missile....
- ATFGunr2 years agoLegend@MADMAC50K It won’t turn quickly, it’s a slow meandering kind of thing. I’m working on T3ing it right now so have fired it a fair bit by now. There is very little hope of hitting a Nightbird, even less than hitting a pondhawk. The crosshair blocks your vision so smaller targets are really hard to hit. Close range or snap shots are also extremely difficult. The missle also drops a bit on launch before the rocket kicks in, so you have to be standing, definitely don’t launch from behind cover 🤣🤣

Welp, better players than me have come to the same verdict as I do. Plus it even visually notifies the pilot even if it is coming from behind. It gives even more warnings than the Liz missile

DICE, this is ridiculous. I consider this insulting to both infantry and towards the pilots
It has the same damage as the M5 recoiless
Minus 1 rocket compared to the recoiless (so 3 hits cannot take out an MBT at full health)
Same reload time as the recoiless
A x4 zoom that makes guiding the missile more of a guesswork than guidance.
Visual and audio cues for pilots. The visual cues are so extensive that they even appear when the missile is outside the FoV of the pilot.
According to someone at the comments it has 300m range.

This is the wost offender in my opinion. Similar zoom issues exist with other shoulder fired weapons too. In previous titles we had much more options when it came to zoom level of these. It's yet another case of features being removed in order to simplify the game design. I baffles me how someone at the studio could have used this weapon and thought to themselves "Yeah...This feels good".

If this game wasn’t a hacked together code and environment filled with glitches, exploiting; cheaters and hacks with respect to the developers which expresses uncertainty in there ability to build a good game with the available resources they have which is the message I’m hearing repeated consistently in various ways the chance it gets fixed beyond what uselessness it already is means then the toxic community will complain it’s too powerful so don’t worry it’s fine, is a skilled based problem not the game itself lol

@UP_HawxxeyeYea, i talked with some friends that play and are very good with tows. So, it kind of sucks yes. Little buff wouldn't hurt much imo. But again, it shouldn't match tgm, cause it would down hokums and apaches with quite ease. Maybe good start would be nerf sounds a bit. (One good point was given from one friend is, with TGM you can anticipate and predict helos movements cause pov, with sraw in some distance you really can't tell.) Downing bird i would take TGM all day over sraw.
Edit: And yeah, visibility is busted, high zoom doesn't make sense tho.

@Man_iLoveFishing
For me the main problem is that they marketed the predator SRAW as a tool for the Nightbird in the Haven map. As things stand, this is almost misleading advertisement.
As the video suggested, the most reasonable tweaks are:
1)Reduce the zoom to x1 (or allow for variable zoom)
2)Get rid of audio and visual cues. They make sense for TGM but not for SRAW.
3) Faster reload time. Seriously.4) Longer travel distance if it is actually 300m as some say. I think it goes further though
After that we can do more testing and see if the turn radius is worth writing home about or not
