@W4RD0G71 I don't agree with you. Two rockets are too much, as it already has a string defense. I know, it is frustrating to get shot down by Lis, but you have good chances to evade the rockets as the helicopter has a high agility and Lis rocket has been nerfed in this regard (and that is ok).
The helicopter needs a disadvantage with these traits, otherwise, there why would anybody take other attack helicopters?
Buff the offense, but not the defense. You need a counter and Lis rocket used to be it I think.
If you need it, Infantry has no chance to counter you, as you can just go in stealth and bomb them all away at higher range. There has to be a danger to the pilot to die, the infantry has this fear too, when they see the helicopter.
I find it depends quite a lot on the map. Certain maps have a lot of cover to hide the heli behind, have seeking rockets fly into and block the extent of sky to the horizon that AA can shoot.
On most maps the stealth heli has good survivability despite the low hit points, but on other maps it will be torn to shreds if its not being used by a good pilot.
Renewal stands out as a map with little cover for helicopters (although they can get behind the large wall).
There isn't much that can be done in this instance.
I mainly go stealth heli if a helicopter is available, and that's just down to how easy it is to quickly get kills before you do get shot down.
- 3 years ago@Ga-Knomboe_Boy Agreed, I use that tactic where I can, but as you point out, where do you hide in Renewal, unless you're close to the wall. Flying below radar level also helps, but there doesn't seem to be a guide to the pilot where that is, just to the person trying to lock on AA
