The answer isn't nerfing the repair system, the answer is taking away 30mm cannons and replacing it with something that makes senses ie look at how bf4 did it and correct course.
Really its the same with the little bird, having rocket pods as a primary option is just a bad idea and creates balance issues.
2042 has backed themselves into a balancing nightmare why trying to reinvent the wheel by making vehicles(particularly air vehicles) much easier for the casual player to use and get massive kill streaks with.
In BF4 I sucked using the heli's for a long while and even to this day I'm not great in them because they had a steep learning curve and so many counters to them, day 1 or 2 you could be a master chopper pilot racking up 20-30 kills pretty easily before getting shot down or just overpowered by a condor or something.
Sorry but they and the "transport" air vehicles will likely never be truly fixed because of their thickheadedness towards how they NEED to be balanced.

the problem isn't the repair system, its a problem with balancing the weapons available. They are essentially 1 shot with most rocket launchers and the 30mm cannon on the wildcat can eat them up QUICKEven with that 1 shot vulnerability or 30mm cannon good stealth pilots are routinely staying up all round long. A defensive nerf is needed in addition to an offensive nerf.
DICE needs to take a hard look at the stealth and flare mechanics...or even the currently useless AP ammo.
Edit - to fix a formatting disaster.
- 4 years ago@AngrySquid270 not sure why you quoted me, but make sure to read what I said again, nerfing or buffing the stealth heli weapons won't fix the issue, the issue is the chopper pilot of an attack heli should have weapons that are effective against other vehicles ie tanks, transport MAV, etc. Putting a 30mm splash damage cannon that is most effective against infantry is just as bad as the rocket pods on the little bird. Personally I don't even think the secondary gunner should have a splash damage weapon in the stealth mainly because the stealth mode itself is difficult to counter. I will repeat nerfing/buffing their current weapons and loadouts will not fix the issue IMHO, modifying their loadouts is the fix.

@foff667 I did a face plant on my formatting in that post, should be cleaned up now.
From your original post I took away that you thought the stealth heli's were fine defensively. That was the point I was contesting.
I agree with your thoughts on the offensive nerfs/tweaks/problems..

They also need to address the logic behind increasing jet AGM loading times whilst leaving the quick reload for all attack choppers including the nightbird.
Makes no sense.
A highly mobile nightbird and stealth can circle while the AGMs reload and then attack the tank and in the short meantime pound you with rockets preventing you from repairing and further reducing the health of your armour.
